She was ‘manipulated’ for an awful long time out of the presence of the Manson family. At least a year in jail with family and counsel and she still had a ball at her trial, insisted on her active, willing part in the murders and giggled away during description of the murders. Manson family members murdered her

Hey, no problem at all, once her victims return to life and they testify in court that she should be released, I have no problem with her being granted parole.

She should rot. I guess you’d be OK with one of your loved one’s savage murderer being released? Thought so.

Makes no sense to me. I agree that most convicts should get out of prison earlier than they do, and that we have an overly punitive justice system. But letting out a murdering cultist? That just makes no sense to me. These are the people we should have prisons for.

I’m not seeing how either of those crimes are way worse than Leslie Van Houten’s?

Since I was actually 18 at the time the murders were committed and 19-20 when the trial took place, yeah I remember it all very well. Were you even alive then?

And her victims shouldn’t have died either...

Only white people are allowed to be children at 19 even if they have committed vile, violent, hideous crimes. The rest of us are lucky to still be considered kids at 11.

The people she murdered need not have died either.

HahahahahahaNO. If they invented immortality serum tomorrow she would still deserve to live eternity behind bars. Let her out as soon as she can resurrect the people she murdered.

Seriously, I didn’t realize they allowed kinja in state prisons.

John Hinckley didn’t kill anyone.

When I was 19 I was kind of wild. My friends and I did every drug we get our hands on and through all of that, I never once killed two people for fucking shits and giggles.

Fuck her. She was old enough to know that participating in a double murder would have some serious consequences.

Let the old bat rot.

I don’t care if she’s dangerous or not (I mean, I do, but.) She got a life sentence for a horrifying crime and that’s what she should serve.

It’s definitely close, I think it’s a personal preference you cant go wrong either way. Although I like the last season of The Wire! Some of my favorite scenes are there (Lester’s hugeass police raid on Marlo’s entire operation; Bubbles finally opening up about his personal demons; the amazing finale montage)

Totally. Not purely shallow and vapid, of course, but she’s like Meryl Streep - the affectations are what steal the show. Kind of an anti-Nicole Kidman, who usually fucks up the accent while making you see the character’s depth on ten different levels.

It only took 4 Jezebel comments for me to go from complete disbelief to “huh, I’m ok with this, go on you crazy kids.”

I definitely read John ‘Lovitz’ and had a full on mental breakdown for a second there.
