I swear the nearby system is just there to taunt me by showing me Pokemon I won’t actually ever see in the area.

It’s a neat idea, but rather than helping me catch the rare Pokemon I’d rather they help me find rare Pokemon. It’s all well and good that the next Charmander I find is easier to catch, but if all I ever see are Pidgeys and Ratattas, it’s not super helpful.
