It’s not really fixing the economy of the game though, it’s just making it shitty in a different way. If your only metric for “fixing the economy of the game” is “making people spend more money,” then you might as well say gyms shouldn’t give any coins and they should jack up the prices in the store.

Even more common than trolls daring people to report them is players begging other players in the game to report a troll right when a game starts because Overwatch’s pile of garbage matchmaker likes to match trolls and their victims across multiple games in a row.

I defended this game for quite a while, no more. Either they’re so profoudnly ignorant of the issues facing their games making them too incompitent to actually make it work OR they don’t give a flying f*** and as you said are okay shafting legit players.

As much as I understand that these things take time to build, manpower to monitor, and procedures to set in place, I think Overwatch has been live for long enough now that we can start to ask how realistically they’re setting expectations for “we’re working on it”.

Many of these type of online games have this issue, not just OW. You can report but you, nor anyone else present, know if any action was ever taken. In the early days of FF14 the only way you knew a gold selling spam account was banned is because of a bug with the blacklist where the player’s name would become error…
