It’s not really a contradiction; the Japanese in general hold themselves to a higher standard than others. If non-Japanese people ink, it’s not their problem because it’s not their culture that is, in their eyes, failing.

So... if a woman shows her butt, she’s suddenly less equal?

“It just reduces tracer to another bland female sex symbol.”

...by demonizing a butt in a game where people kill eachother?

Tell that to Tumblr.

Rule 34 in 5... 4... 3...

Wow I can’t believe I’m agreeing with the Jezebel mob, but holy shit you don’t have any idea what you’re talking about.
Anecdotal evidence of mothers doesn’t trump actual scientific evidence, research, and understanding.

Wanna know a time I’ll always consider pirating acceptable? When, despite massive amounts of demand, companies still refuse to sell a game.

Literally the first thing I wanted to do when hearing about the bot was to fuck with it. Not necassarily this way, though. But I couldn’t be bothered to make a Twitter account.

“Robot”

My father does this, almost assuredly because of Bladerunner. Drives me nuts sometimes.

Because it’s making a public complaint and is shaming the dev team for a very minor issue, one that could be handled quickly by sending the dev team an email. But making it a public issue smacks a bit like shaming.

I don’t constitute this a terrible though. Killing people is terrible. Stealing thousands of dollars is terrible.

A minor error of copying over an animation, probably based on some ignorance of the religion of the fighter on behalf of whatever member of the dev team did it, is just an oversight.

I’m not entirely sure is Social Media was the appropriate platform to inform EA of this.

“Religion is responsible for all the worlds problems.”

I legitimately know people who buy games after pirating them. I think the biggest disconnect is where the moral relativism comes into play here.

Doesn’t take into account long term sales from people who were treating it as a demo. So no, it’s not really proof of loss of sales in total, just proof of loss in short term sales.

Proof being the tricky monster that’s hard to nail down.

While it’s been proven short term, it hasn’t really been proven long term. The Witness testimonial completely fails to take into account people who could very well buy it later.

Keep in mind, I don’t pirate; I don’t have a pony in this race.

Literally not the same war. Very similar, but we’re fighting someone different, and for a much better reason.
