The problem is we may have a very small heads up on the meteorite coming.

We could find out a few days beforehand. And it’s best to know if this method does or doesn’t work in that scenario.

Correct, and to be fair I’m also certain Russia built a shit ton to penetrate a certain mountain...

The EMPs and fallout might stop them from transmitting their poetry. It would be a final mercy.

Still doesn't guarantee space rocks won't threaten us in the future and knowing whether or not this kind of thing works would be extremely valuable information.

Yeah, it's certainly doable. That being said, it's sub optimal to detonate at ground level. Nukes work best when detonated in the middle of the air above their target.

This is why MAD exists.

Nukes are not detonated by impact, they’re triggered by set parameters. It won’t miss and suddenly explode when it comes back down.

Depends on how much fuel you need to bring up.

The effects of emp can be measured as some function of 1/i^2 so that’s not an issue, especially if it’s detonated outside the magnetosphere, which is fantastic at deflecting EMPs.

Nuclear bombs aren't triggered by impact. If they miss, the nuke wouldn't detonate.

Sirface area, surface area, surface area.

I find it sad you’re being judgmental of other people.

Keep in mind these are being made in Japan where the otaku culture has reached the point young men are entirely avoiding women, and women are focusing on their careers entirely, thus leaving both parties very very alone.

Easiest way to do it would be create something that intelligently interprets values in a composition. (Values are how bright/dark colors are and are KEY to good painting)

You can get refunds for DLC?

O.o
Okay I’m at a loss with that one!

I might install it on my SSD if they don’t patch it by the time I beat it, but I think it’s unlikely it’s disk reads that the problem, but I think it has less to do with disk reads and more to do with the CPU and GPU talking to eachother very inefficiently.

Luckily since they’re seperate systems that should be easy to

I know, but now I also know it’s the underworkings in the game that’s causing the problem. His CPU is faster than mine, but has less cores. XCOM more than likely isn’t optimized for multi-threading though. Since his graphics aren’t perfect with a much better card, but an issue with the way the CPU feeds the GPU what

Excatly, that’s why I can’t buy the expansion, even though I found a work around. I can’t know the workaround will work.

Hell, I can’t know if the workaround will work next time they patch it.

Yeah, as far as I can tell the game determines the “dice rolls” everytime an action is chosen. When your last operative ends their turn, the game immediately knows what happens during the aliens turn. Then it just has to render it.
