Truly scathing words, if you reaffirm yourself enough times, clearly you become right.

These foolishness aside, I’m unclear on the finer differences between an APC, a Tank, and Mobile Armored Artillery. I know which ones are which, but what’s the determining factors?
Technical-ly.
I was building a computer for my roommate. While I was running wires and mounting stuff, he took the protective cover off the CPU socket, and proceeded to drop it on the pins.
This was after a CPU came through the mail trashed to pieces.
We had to get a new mobo. I am much more insistent that people who don’t know…
It takes me literal seconds to write these responses. I only made a passing comment about how he was shit, and everyone else responded, and I responded back.
But it’s not like I opened up with a paragraph explaining he was terrible, it was a sentence lampshading some somewhat arrogant behavior in webcomic artists.…
I’m sorry you can’t recognize objective criteria for something, that seems like some pretty basic knowledge.
He was making a living before the Patreon. So it’s safe to assume he was already making a living without that remaining $43,200. He’s making six figures at this point. Between ad revenue, merchandise, book sales and patreon if he’s not at six figures, he’s very close.
And “lopping” off the taxes to talk about how much…
Art is subjective, illustrative story telling is not. The ability to clearly impress ideas onto the readers with drawing is very objective.
Jeph isn’t a fine artist, and he isn’t an experimental artist; he’s a cartoonist.
The article is literally about how there’s an unusually large amount of people pirating it.
We are literally talking about how much people pirate a game, not whether a game is pirated at all or not.
But he doesn’t though. If Jeph were to go to any art school, he would be told about how he knows nothing about anatomy, he doesn’t have a style, he just has what he can do.
People try to treat Style like it’s some sort of exoneration for the quality of the work.
And keep in mind, the issue I have is that he hasn’t…
That’s great, but this is a discussion about the amount of people pirating games compared to the type and price of the game, we’re not talking about a direct correlation between price point and piracy rates. There’s more variables at play here.
It’s a fact his art is bad.
Lessons are not the way, but even the most basic attempt to improve his artwork...
He stopped evolving at some point, and that’s when I lost respect for him. His best art, which was still pretty bad, was from half a decade ago. And then he got worse, he actively got worse.
Considering his history of outburts I’m not so sure of that. And if you’re going to talk about strangers on the internet, to a stranger on the internet, then you shouldn’t be on a website that reviews other people’s work a objectively.
But him being decent does nothing to change the fact that his art is terrible.
I do know “objectively” when his comics inhabit a space in perspecitve that is not physically possible, when he routinely draws hands on backwards, when he lacks even the simplest capacity in foreshortening.
He is objectively bad.
I don’t have a webcomic; don’t project viewpoints onto other people just to validate your side of the argument.
His art is bad by every metric of art skill there is.
He’s insulting because there are thousands of far superior artists working desperately to make a living, and he wipes his ass with his wacom and makes money in a week than they make in a month.
His art is OBJECTIVELY bad. He has no facility with perspective, uses cut and paste assets for everything, and really only draws from one angle unless he absolutely has to.
Because thousands of far superior artists work their ass off to make a living, and he can take a shit and still make more money than them.
