Yes, I have. In person. The “tiny bit” I was referring to was a split second between stages.

VLS missiles do, they like to pop up, loiter in the air just a tiny bit, and then the actual missile engages. At least in American designs.

Angled missile tubes are inherently better at engaging closer range targets because the missile is already pitched closer to parallel with surface. Basic rocketry. Because VLS is used with missiles meant for either long range or aerial targets, the rockets benefit from not having to pitch up to gain the appropriate

The launch angle is more suited towards engaging targets at distance, whereas the racks are designed to almost “lob” missiles.

What the fuck are you on about? She’s still a small boy, seeing as she’s not an Amphib or Aircraft Carrier.

I do know GPS has very, very robust encryption.

...when we bother to use it...

Looks retrofitted, and there’s still a fair amount of deckspace. There are likely structural advantegs to the circular formation.

Small Boys always have hangers next to flight decks, if they have hangers at all; the space required to install an elevator for just two helicopters would be a massive waste.

She’s got VLS, but VLS is typically better for long-range engagements and aircrafts. We similarly keep Harpoon Missiles mounted on angled racks on our Warships, with Tomahawks, SM2s(*) and ASROCs loaded up in VLS.

It’s like you actually believe China would oppose the country it’s entire economy is dependent on.

Ships typically burn power generators and turbines for the screw; this would allow them to just run on the generators.

You can't discount the cost of replacing the target if the mortar hits.

Surprisingly I've found that Americans tend to be MUCH better at pronouncing French loan words than Brits. Just an aside.

Ticonderoga Cruisers steaming st slow speeds with a good cross wind are similarly a bitch to drive. Those big flat super structures...

Their durability. Airframes can only take so much wear and tear before they basically disintegrate, and modern jets do less “flying” and more “air breathing rockets with large control surfaces.”

Do. Not. Eat. Late.

I'm assuming it's a combination. There's a lot of people who get nauseous just playing normal Video Ged because of the disconnect.

I actually see it as less likely to be vomtive; nausea is usually caused by an interrupt in perception and other senses. What you see not being what you feel is what causes sea sickness in people who aren't sailors.

How can someone possibly not think this is super awesome?
