I agree with you completely. But sadly I think it's reflective of a problem with the Democrats in that they have difficulty communicating the benefits of their policies in simple, effective ways that speak to shall we say, less informed or sophisticated audiences.
But what was Hillary's message? "I'm not Donald Trump, vote for me." What if you like Donald Trump? Or secretly don't think he's really that bad? Then what? Trump had a simple, compelling (albeit bullshit) story to tell people: Make America Great Again. Who doesn't want that?
