@OhnoRaptors: Oh, of course. I love that webcomic, but I'm just not dedicated enough to follow it frequently enough.

@amazoncowgirl: Oh my gawd, it's like you're my Jezebel/Tumblr soulmateI think I was a Poirot fan to begin with also, but I'm rather partial to Jane Marple- I love her obtuse, tangential reference system. And Then There Were None (or, as my very old edition is embarassingly titled, Ten Little Niggers) is absolutely

@amazoncowgirl: Cat Among the Pigeons is good. Are you a Tommy and Tuppence, Miss Marple, or Hercule Poirot fan though? I think it's important.

@gingergal7: How can anyone be against Team Nose?? Go Team Blank Face?

Well, Colour Me Beautiful!

Jenna, you weren't a Nga Tawa girl, were you?

@Lindsey: Melanie Griffith wasn't that bad either, was she?

Watching Heidi (fake?) cry was mildly hilarious.

Agatha Christies, always.

Wait- I always thought that it was Lurlene McDaniel that wrote A Walk to Remember!

@OhnoRaptors: Gawd, that's great- where's it from?

@dSiz: Thanks for contributing

Ricky Martin's gay? I leave the internet for a month, and now this? It's like the last decade didn't even happen!

@drinkyprose: Gawd, Kitty Kelley? I didn't think you were supposed to type that name without first spitting, and then crossing yourself.

Oh: I also meant to say that I wonder who was interviewing him (as there doesn't appear to be any byline on the website); many of Mayer's answers seem to indicate that many of his statements are, at best, tongue in cheek, yet the tone of the whole article seems to mute/ignore that.

I wonder if Mayer was saying 'nigger', or 'nigga'; not that it makes his statement any less inappropriate or offensive, but (I think) Nelson George has written about how the differentiation in spelling is important in interpreting the intentions and use of the word, and the political implications.

@BytheSea: Because, as cbroo explained earlier in this thread, the firebombing of Dresden by the allies (which, let's be honest here, was pretty fucking brutal) and actually it's incredibly easy for you to Google yourself.

@kwoods001: Erm, if babies were to be born with no need for a womb, wouldn't abortion kind of, like, not exist? Due to, like, a woman not having to forfeit her right to make her own reproductive choices?

@BytheSea: Well, actually, no she didn't. The firebombing of Dresden that Vonnegut witnessed did *actually* happen, and as is explained further up this thread, it has become a much-championed neo-Nazi cause.
