People sure looked like they were laughing at Wilmore’s jokes when the camera cut to them. Maybe not the one person being mocked, but...

I loved it... Thought he was hilarious and the crowd were their usual uptight selves.

There are a lot of funny people on The Nightly Show. Different people like different stuff. I think Mike Yard is hilarious, and you couldn't pay me to watch anything on CBS. That's the way humor works.

Ditto. It was a proper roast and the lame press core deserved it (especially CNN and CNBC). Roasts are suppose to be cringe-worthy. And those who were targeted, but couldn’t even laugh at themselves, only confirmed that there was more truth than exaggeration (for humor’s sake) in Wilmore’s jabs.

I just watched the whole thing and I loved every minute of it. I’m a middle age (42) white liberal white lady, and I’m wondering what the fuck is going on with the audience. Good for Larry pushing harder.

All of the following is true:

Larry understood something important about how Obama puts together these dinners: The jokes aren’t for the people in the room. They’re for the folks at home, who for one night get to see these self-important Washington pricks get taken down a peg.

Hahahahaha news maitre d’. A+++.

“alleged journalist don lemon” was my favorite

The offscreen wail that followed that joke killed me.

He slammed everybody, no holds barred.

I thought he was fucking hilarious too. That crowd needs to pull the sticks out of their asses.

Maybe this was some kind of apex of past transgressions. His facebook seems kind of employer-unfriendly and annoying. He bashes the media in an earlier facebook posting and then mentioned his devastation over Prince dying...

Hey, does anyone know who wrote that song?

This was painfully corny and uncomfortable to watch, but certainly not worthy of termination. I mean hell, Ernie Anastos told us to “keep fucking that chicken” and kept his job.

A lot of people know that the only song Sinead O’Connor is widely known for is a Prince song. It doesn’t make it irrelevant just because you didn’t know that.

This is what happens when you tell people that if one person is offended, it’s one too many.

Prince wrote the song...

Don’t feel too bad, MTV. An error like this...it’s not unusual. It happens every day. No matter what you say. You find it happens all the time.
