But at the end, it turns out the garbage man didn't remember anything. So the only way they got him to confess is because Liv knew what he & the hitman had said at their car-to-car meeting, and faked that that was a statement from the garbage man.
I don't know how much I want flashbacks, but it would be really nice if the show gave us some clue as to why Peyton and Liv were so close (before the zombie thing). The "You're my freaking heart" just seemed unearned, because we haven't seen anything to suggest them being that close to each other, even pre-zombifying.
Don't feel like I can discuss in detail here, but suffice it to say, fuck all the doctors who can't seem to figure out WTF is wrong with my dad. :(
