You people do all realize that Google straight slacked on the iOS version of Google Maps? No turn-by-turn. maps.google.com is feature identical. So iOS users can use that with no difference to what we had in the app version.

It's been that way on all iPads since at lest iOS5
Wait, what?
I'm nor here to admit or judge anything. Just noticing a trend in responses. To each their own.
Except it doesn't "perform" the same, as Apple said in the keynote and confirmed by benchmarks it's about a 2x performance increase.
"It's an iPhone 4 with a bigger screen!"
Predictions for responses:
The Nexus 7 isn't bad, and I have no problems recommending one. For me personally I'm just spoiled by the iPads Retina (2048x1536) display. It's real hard to go back to a standard display after using it since launch. And I do really wish Android would get its act together when it comes to tablet apps...
I'm fairly boring, but:
How long until "You Don't Know Jack" ends up on YouTube?
Of you've tried both you'd see what I'm on about. Googles buildings beyond the first few are always shite looking, tho it does load faster than Apples. But they never get better than that without moving the camera closer.
I'd vote for Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series. Though, I do recall reading last year movie rights had been sold for it but there has been almost no news about it since then.
Ha yeah I'm much the same way. I created an "Etcetera" folder for spill over :-P
Nope, not at all. For Navigation I've been using the TomTom iOS app for years now, and I've preferred Google Earth's iOS app for satellite views over Google Maps due to the UI and the fact that it also maps terrain and uses a 3D view.
Just dump 'em in a folder. I have most built in apps thrown in a "Utilities" folder.
1) this was announced months ago, and 2) blame Google, not Apple. It was Google's decision to make a stand alone app and no longer give Apple a license for the previous stock application.
Obviously someone has never bothered to look on the App Store, which is full of mapping apps, as well as Google apps.
EXCELLENT app! Thank you!
