I doubt your average 16 year old Android user with some $99 pay as you go phone is caring about locking down much either. It works both ways. I'd say as a percentage the "hacker/customizing/security conscious" types are about equal on either device.
I think he means, what if someone steals your iPhone, and then jailbreaks it themselves?
At this rate, all we need is a screen leak and we'll be able to assemble our own iPhone 5/New iPhone before Apple even announces the thing :-P
