You kinda asked for this ;-)

Yeah. And I presume you're running full disk encryption on your PC, and your login is more than say "dirtyhippy1" or similar, assuming, like most win users you're not just auto logged in?

Worst part is if not for the Air getting hit (assuming that's what he syncs to) the iPad/iPhone wipe would only have been an inconvenience, and quickly restored through iTunes. Though if he was syncing those devices to iCloud, it'd still be fairly simple to restore.

There are sketchy places in Reno? As a resident, I'd have to say it's practically small town America. Pic from my house.

Damn, I'm stuck using an Abacus :-(

Of course you can spoof a User Agent, however, an iPhones model number isn't reported in the User Agent, though the iOS version is.

Yeah, but all the Android fanboys will say something like "what about the Nokia blabla778xz from 2002 that no one has ever heard of that like all of 8 people owned? Samsung was copying that not the wildly successful iPhone!"

Nitpicker here, it's "Shaun", not "Shawn".

Wow, with such long, informative, well written articles it's no wonder why I now prefer athe Verge!

That is just...what? For real? Reeeeaallly?! Ok then. I suppose everyone has a right to their own reality. Or something.

Star Wars: "Luke , at that speed do you think you'll be able to pull out in time?"

They all look the same to me!

There is something similar in the iOS 6 beta on my iPad. If it is a free app, or an update to a free or paid app you already own, no password is required. It now only asks for your password for the first time purchase of a paid app.

It shows prior...something. Certainly doesn't show an iPad. Hell, if Samsung had designed a tablet that looked like that, Apple wouldn't be suing them for the same reason they aren't suing Acer, HP, etc...because their tablets aren't lazy copies.

...such as? Hard to claim Apple is the one stealing when Android that was initially released on the public was a deadpan, poorly done iOS rip off. Just look at the original prototype Android device, then compare to what ended up being released, after the iPhone, and after Google panic redesigned it.
