I’ve always thought the increasing congestion on today’s roads could be affecting manual transmission sales in certain areas. Some cities are seeing more traffic than others especially during rush hours. When I’m sitting in stop and go traffic, it’s the only time I lament my choice to own a manual transmission

1st gear: I’m no Trump supporter by any means, but if the Japanese hadn’t stifled our imports for 30 years, maybe the Japanese would want more American cars. They don’t want what they never knew.

I’m 6' 1" 230lbs. and I looked like someone stuffed me into that GTi with a shoe horn. Not buying the more room inside at all.

arrogant? What the hell man....it’s a car site where we share opinions about cars. Don’t get all worked up.

2 years in....not one single issue. And I’m far from easy on it. I also have a 16 year old SVT Focus that has been solid since 2002 despite the abuse given to it. I dunno man....not buying it.

I had a completely different experience. I went to buy a GTi, but thought to cross shop the FoST. When I told the VW salesman my intention he said, “you won’t be back...in fact I’m buying a Focus ST.”

She should just learn to drive a manual transmission. It’s not that hard, in fact it’s rewarding. I guess I’m a lucky guy, my wife doesn’t mind shifting the manual...we have 4 cars at my house, all are the row your own variety.

I’ve always thought my SVT Focus should have been RWD. The Automotive press upon it’s introduction even stated that if BMW had built a small FWD car, this is what it would drive like. It just always felt like it wanted to be RWD. Some people went so far as to shove a Ford V8 in them and make them RWD, but even that

Ford Transit Connect Wagon. Tons of headroom, comfortable and cheap! You’ll have money left over for a Ducati and a set of ramps and the Transit can carry it around.

I’d like to know...why do people spend too much on these when the Focus ST was a better car at a better value?

‘92 and newer did.

I drove this ‘90 Escort GT for years, it was a fantastic little car, never had any trouble with it. Autocrossed it a few times, even drag raced it (16.8 in the 1/4 mile). Sold it to my brother, last I heard (about 4 years ago) his ex-wife still had it up in South Dakota. It was missing it’s hood, the roof was smashed

That’s the funny thing about these Meh cars, or the Malaise Era cars is that everyone talks about how shitty they were (especially the American ones) and yet all the cars you posted in that article ARE domestic cars. They are the ones who survived, not the so-called superior Japanese cars of the 80's and 90's. I

I read the article’s title and thought, “Wow, a badas Raptor is only $900 more than a tarted up Toyota?”

Pixar? Are you listening? They already wrote the next “Cars” movie for you.

A road through the Sahara Desert and enough gas to get you across it. If your car breaks down you die. Your choice: 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage or 2018 Ford Fiesta?

If you are cross-shopping a Camry, this is probably not the car for you.

I dunno....it’s not that Meh to me. I mean I see where you are going here Torch, but at a time when FWD jelly beans ran rampant, I think this car stands out. I mean it came with a V8 and RWD for fuck’s sake. You can’t beat up on it just because of it’s namesake! That’s like saying Jaden Smith sucks just because he’s

I had a friend in highschool who had a Fila edition T-bird. It was pretty nice.

I dunno man....I see a lot Tauruses (Tauri?) down here in God’s waiting room. (Sun City Center Florida). There’s tons of old 80's/90's era Fords still taking grandma to and fro. I see far more than I do anything Japanese that’s for sure.
