This is enlightening and also a reminder of why it’s hard to be a fan after working in the sports business.

They’re not competing with “other labor jobs” (whatever your classification for that is), they’re competing with the salaries at other manufacturers.

50,000 people will make far better use of $2k/yr more in their pocket then a multi-millionaire will do with an extra few million. Also - GM clearly has cash if they can spend billions of stock buybacks that would have been illegal 20 years ago.

Youre ignoring that GM has done well over 10B in stock buybacks in the last few years - my point is that GM has not prioritized product and employees, rather, they have prioritized making their large stockholders (who are already rich) richer.

If Gen Z fucks up the country as much as Boomers have, then I fucking hope they’re getting called out on it. Sorry your generation is, on balance, trash.

Nobody said they were “in fine shape” before the Boomers. What I said was, the Boomers *ruined* them. They’ve accelerated the decline by orders of magnitude out of nothing but selfish avarice. Wall Street collapse? Boomers (after all, they’re the “greed is good” generation, right?). Corporate deregulation? Boomers.

You really just “not all Boomers”d, huh?

My parents are Boomers too. Everyone knows they’re not 100% terrible. No group of anyone is 100% anything. The thing is, ENOUGH of them are shitty that it doesn’t matter that some aren’t. It’s Boomers who’ve ruined the entire country/planet/economic system, so what good does

“Florida Boomer” really frames the story by conveying the proper mix of “get off my lawn!” and “divorced guy energy” to motivate someone to endanger the lives of innocents because of a trivial annoyance.

What the fuck is a fark?

the easiest way to make a boomer angry is to accurately describe their behavior

A psychopath tries to kill people, and your first response is Whataboutism?

THIS IS WHAT WE GET WHEN WE MOVE BEYOND THE SOURCE MATERIAL. -2019: BY BENIOFF AND WEISS.

Anything is above “Q.” Me talking to a cashier at a convenience store about the weather is above “Q” because it’s an actual conversation that happened with a real person, which is infinite percent more grounded in reality than anything related to QAnon.

I know these media people are paid to carry water, but there are so many others who just cannot possibly conceive this world where college athletes get paid.

Endorsements help educate consumers, and sham endorsements short circuit that process. For example, I was once a State Farm customer, because family is important to me and it came through how important family was to the Paul twins (Chris and Cliff). But I switched to Nationwide because I value creativity, and the

I once used the ISDN line at my summer job to download Public Affection MP3s. I thought I was really cool because I was getting “the early stuff” that no one else knew about.

Indeed, the connection between the President, the attorney general, and the president’s personal lawyer is just too confusing to figure out. I can’t wait until Trump’s idiot children get implicated, and they’re all like “Whoa, wait a minute, now there are TWO guys named Donald Trump involved?  How do you expect the
