@mike_311: yup. Glad to help.
@MikeS.: No idea on how any of these work, but I'm sure one of them will work out...
@mike_311: 1. Go to google.com
@odinbearded: Many, many people have no choice in ISP.
@Dougith: I hope you are right, but I'm sure they could all just happen to decide to do it at the same time, pure coincidence of course.
@KyleUndefined: You said you were DEFIANTLY updating.
@KyleUndefined: You rebel you.
@Dougith: Another company could come along and take over the market? If all the big ISPs are on board with each other who would that be exactly? The startup costs to be an ISP are enormous so don't expect some little guy to pop up and take over the nation.
@Coyote: Even if that were true, guess who ends up paying for that in the long run? I'll give you some hints...it's not Netflix/Level3/Comcast.
@odinbearded: Have you ever heard of throttling? Ya most ISPs do it for things like torrenting (even legal since they can't necessarily tell the difference). So go ahead and sue every ISP now.
@Yeah!: Not at all...I pay 75 for 6/2 internet, phone, and HD TV with a few extra packages, nothing crazy though.

@furquanatique: Useless comment alert..
@Nayrlladnar: What does Brazil have to do with this? :-)
@jimw2: The first amendment does not apply to corporations.
@2 replies: They base these five on how many votes they get earlier in the week from readers. Since everyone has a desktop/laptop, but not nearly as many have servers, hence the fewer votes.
@TheNobleRobot: You do realize Lifehacker != Gawker right? Lifehacker is not in charge of securing all Gawker sites.
@wjglenn: mediamonkey is outstanding for tagging/organizing and I *think* finding dupes.
