V8 Mustang automatic” If you are not disabled, ordering it that way was an automotive crime. Mustangs should have three pedals. Hell I even have a crushed nerve root to my left leg and still couldn’t stoop to buying a Mustang GT with a slushbox...

Watch the video. You can see his proof that the wheel was not damaged before. You can see the panel gap was not even touched.

And yet, American at least has done this as well, with little fanfare. I was on an unscheduled A330 flight from Philly to Boston after storms caused all sorts of cancellations and chaos. The plane was just sitting there for a later that day international flight, and they had a crew with enough duty time left, so they

Not sure what people expected. At this point, I fully expect every app that requires way more information than what the app provides (like most free apps) and map apps (especially google maps) to be selling all of the information to anyone with money to pay for it...

I was a teenager in the mid/late 90s, I remember. Taylor is very different than N’Sync, 98 degrees, Brittany, Christina Aguilera, etc. In 2000, N’Sync’s biggest tour (No Strings Attached) netted $70 million in 82 shows. They aren’t even anywhere near the top 10 numbers for biggest tours in that decade (Rolling Stones,

I think the issue is that they said one thing, it didn’t get driven, when it was clearly a lie. I’d be pretty pissed off too. If they were like, yes we had to test the engine and drove it a bit, I’d be much less likely to argue about the 8 miles. Though 8 miles does seem a bit more than what’s needed.

lol I’m not in the demographic of “swiftie” at all, but did you think the same thing about boy bands or like teeny bopper pop in the 90s? Literally every generation has an artist like this, she’s just existing in the era when there is the most money to be made.

Guess I’ve been Livin’ the Dream. My local Volvo dealer walks the car with me before they take possession for any servicing. Write up the obvious points of concern (Small scratch on the passenger door that paint covered but left a small dent I barely noticed) and send me on my way.

Seriously, even if they didn’t lose a drop of oil tearing apart the engine IT CAME IN BECAUSE OF AN OIL LEAK. What service department wouldn’t top off the oil in that case? Look, people try to get shit like curbed wheels repaired all the time for free so I understand part of the dealer getting defensive, but the oil

I’m sure the dealership sucks to deal with, but this guy also sounds like a massive, confrontational pain.

Gotta give them credit for thinking outside the box.

You’re at least partially not wrong.  There’s plenty of evidence that post COVID people have lost some familiarity with how to properly deal with the public.  Airplane / public transit behavior is absolutely one of them, but entitlement is all the rage for sure.

My hot take is that people are louder, dumber, and more miserable to be around than they’ve ever been, so I personally appreciate that it’s so easy to insulate myself from them.

Yeah, maybe the rise of social media as a means to form virtual networks/community is really the “significant” part of this. Not saying everyone is lazy, but before cheap cell phones you basically had to go out if you wanted any sort of interaction.  Ride a bike, make friends with cars, whatever your situation I don’t

Given that cars have been common for at least a century and this loneliness is a much more recent phenomenon, I’m skeptical that cars are the problem.

It is hard to find 3rd places that do not cost a lot of money to go to. Places like brew pubs are awkward when you go alone and I do not like to drive after even having one drink. Community building is hard.

In that the Lightning looks like a truck while the CT looks like something that the Colonial Marines would pile out of for another bug-hunt before getting their asses kicked and then it’s game over, man, game over.

Yep. I’m really not a Ford guy, but that Lightning is downright handsome next to the rolling garden shed.

It’s amazing how stupid the Incel-camino looks next to a regular looking truck.

The gas pedal thing was kind of a farce, IMO. People were stacking mats and that caused the pedal to get stuck. The recall fix was to check that mats weren’t stacked. The frame recall was more recent, but went back about 20 years and you could take in a 20 year old Tacoma or Tundra (maybe other models?) and get the
