this. preinstalled and undeletable. it was decent at one point, but one of the updates brought pop up ads, and lock screen ads and lag. it pretty much lives disabled (and eating space on my old phone) unless i need it for a hotel tv.  sadly, phones have moved away from IR emitters, the ability is kind of useful.

slightly off topic of sports cars, but full on board with the manual thing. currently pondering if i’m willing to put up with needing to haul bikes on a trailer (and have a manual) or give in to everything else being auto, but room to haul in the bed.

I wasnt actually there to buy...just wandering the lot while i waited for my truck to come out of service (airbag recall round 2).

you weren’t in selma, were you? that sounds EXACTLY like their pricing structure.

the weird part is they list the msrp as north of $51k...

i was kind of in the middle for most of the article...not a great price, but not CP territory either...till the part about the title. won’t say i’m a fan of the looks, but it’s not the WORST thing out there either.

that ALSO looks better than the new silverado....not that that’s much of a feat.

Agreed on the love of these deep dives. one of the things that made Dave Coleman (Sport Compact Car magazine, and i think now with mazda)‘s columns so interesting. (RIP SCC).

ONE OF US! ONE OF US!

not to mention they’re dirt cheap. in kit form from harbor freight (if they’re nice, they’ll even let you get the 20% off of it), buy some bolts and a sheet of 3/4 plywood (have lowes/home despot half it for you), and you’re on the road for $350 or less, and a day or two of your time.

guess we Dodged that one.

so...my train stories are all west coast centered.

the real bonus is when the east/west or north/south split moves around within town.

“i’m at the corner of E North Ave, and S East Ave...”

Newest thread i could find, but this seems like they’re back spamming instagram now...with “german built 3.5 v6 to leave your senses tingling”, pointing to luxurycarreplicas.com

*makes a mental note to start a car blog/vlog series so i can borrow press cars*

well, we could draw a parallel to tempe, and the semi-recent self-driving car fatality (and resulting lawsuits). Someone crossing the street where they shouldn’t be, in spite of signs saying not to cross there and to use the crosswalk, blaming the landscaping.

if it’s anything like here, on paper, the roads are city/county/state maintained....but in practice, they contract the work out, and the quality of work varies, with little to no oversight of the end result.

How hard (costly) could it really be to shove an already EPA approved (even CA approved) engine (wrx amd/or sti) into a forester, and tune the suspension a bit (wrx bits again?)?

Hand truck, ratchet strap or two over the back of thw washer to the hand truck, and maybe a long 2x4 for leverage if necesary. Or a 2nd person and the hand ktruckworks too
