between car shopping for her, and dealing with the recall on mine, the dealership experience (both sales and service)got the mx5 crossed off the short list of possibilities for her next car. it’s that bad.

have a couple. first is also a beetle. ran to the next major town south, ~45 min drive, to do the weekend cruise thing. heading back, low on gas, but figure i have enough to get home. still 15 miles or so away, and it’s getting VERY low. pull into the johnny quick on the corner, only to find that yes, while the pumps

i’m thankful for a job with reasonable vacation policies (can return days if i don’t want to take them), and being mostly expendable; i’m not leadership, i don’t have a work provided phone, laptop, or remote access, so there’s little to NO reason to contact me during my off time with work issues. the couple of

also, some people are assholes, and hide things in the leaves, like cement blocks or logs, that do bad things to the front of your car when you hit them.

While i hate this markup bullshit, i sort of understand why they do it.

hey, they did a srt-10 ram? why not a hellcat ram.

i’m there with you on rental cars. i won’t DELIBERATELY damage or trash them, but i don’t feel guilty using them hard as i would my own.

to be fair, i haven’t done anything with rental cars that i wouldn’t do with my own vehicles.

Chasing a bmw on mulholland in a sebring convertible hard enough to have the brakes smoking. All of the trucks have been offroaded, some of them have been sideways, includimg the fwd cars, and one did donuts on the salt at bonneville; there was still salt caked under it when it went back.

sometime between when we bought the lady her car (mid 2015) and now, the local honda dealers have started marking UP the civic SI too. hoping for a little rub-off of from the type R?

or the one in CA for legal defense for the 18 yr old girl that was DUI, admitted it on livestream, and crashed, killing her sister and the sister’s friend....while still live streaming?

i get the same, even in my late 30's. as an earlier commenter said, asshole dealer syndrome, though it follows me pretty much everywhere.

not to mention some localities (CA, for example) really expect (at leats the first) it to be a fix-it ticket. have gotten stopped 3x for modified exhausts: twice in an old vw, once with an open stinger (megaphone), the other with the baffle in. third was in my truck. note that here, the standard for modified is 95db.

nothing on my VZW gs5 currently either. curious if it’ll get it.

The only issue with going unlit numbers is getting them to go back to the gauges being readable unlit (minor point, i know).

Havent gotten my hands on a new vw, so that’s news to me...cool feature, and probably why the “no lights” thing isnt so common for vw drivers

the other part of the problem (and it’s not just toyota) is this trend of making dashboards where the gauges are ALWAYS lit up. it used to be you could tell the lights were off because your gauges were dark...now, with them always lit, plus daytime running lights, idiots have no way to know, short of looking for the

because they’re putting the effort into ways to spy, not make the user experience better.

downstream oxygen sensor on an accord, without a lift. did the upstream last weekend.
