Havent gotten my hands on a new vw, so that’s news to me...cool feature, and probably why the “no lights” thing isnt so common for vw drivers

the other part of the problem (and it’s not just toyota) is this trend of making dashboards where the gauges are ALWAYS lit up. it used to be you could tell the lights were off because your gauges were dark...now, with them always lit, plus daytime running lights, idiots have no way to know, short of looking for the…
because they’re putting the effort into ways to spy, not make the user experience better.
downstream oxygen sensor on an accord, without a lift. did the upstream last weekend.
This. like it or not, with a new car, you’re stuck getting some shit handled at the dealer (especially recalls). if you only have one dealer in the area, and they’re a steaming pile of hell to deal with, that’s kind of a problem.
This. granted, the drivers are kind of asshats as well, but if it’s so dangerous, get away from it.
“copy values” instead of “copy series”.
missed the original ask.
i can (and can hope anyone would) see why Mildred is going to take precedence in that scenario, especially if there’s only one left to sell.
while i love to modify, the subaru idea doesn’t give me the warm fuzzies the same way a built out 2332cc type 1 does....like you said, the soul. the aircooled flat 4 is part of the character.
maybe it’s me, but the whole ‘NOT effort to budge’ doesn’t seem to encourage much relationship building either. kind of like the salesman in one of my truck searches who listened to what i said i was looking for, handed me a card and told me to call him when i was ready to buy, and walked off. zero effort.
IIRC, it was called ‘marina blue’. I have a 74 beetle the same color.
more hp is just a few (or a few dozen) paychecks away. subaru boxer swaps have become semi popular, or the aircooled madness can be good up to around 2.3l in the type 1 block, or 2.6l in a type 4 block...not to mention turbo options being better in a ghia than a beetle (roomier engine compartment).
while simultaneously denying the building of any new tracks?
For someone that stays a bit with hyatt hotels, the hyatt-branded visa chase offers is worth a look. Establish a points membership ahead of time, then do the card, score the normal reward points, the the card pays 3 points per dollar (last i checked) when you stay at hyatt hotels. Flights booked direct with the…
One more vote of agreement with trying some different styles of bikes. The place where i took the brc was mostly gz250's and kawi eliminator 125's, with a single ninja 250 thrown in. The class was mostly older cruiser riders, so they saw it as punishment to leave me the ninjette; really, it’s what i’d have picked…
Fresno has the intesection of East North Ave with South East Ave. Don’t mix them up...
Side note: despite being ignored, we did shop the dealer that contacted us via truecar....took 45 min of browsing and being ignored, calling andasking to be helped...dicked arou d about costco pricing and told “you dont need to see it, our price is cheaper”...test drove prospects and walked, ended up buying elsewhere.
I still get emails from the dealership i bought my truck from in 2004. Havent done any business with them since the warranty was up in 2009.
Thanks for the detailed response!
