It’s cool how Tesla managed to design an entire car on an Etch-a-Sketch.

I strongly disagree with the assertion that the LC is unnecessary. It’s absolutely necessary if for no other reason than the fact that it’s fucking beautiful.
Honestly, I did not see that at first, but going back and looking at it again, I definitely see it now.
Haha... I’m glad I’m not the only one who saw an Aston there.
Kia has made incredible progress in the design department, but they’re still slapping that ugly badge on their otherwise very nice looking cars. As Johnnyma45 said above, “brand image is an important thing”. Like it or not, it’s true. It’s not like this logo has any particular brand equity or history either. It’s not…
I’ve been saying this exact same thing for years. That badge/logo is pure garbage, and every time I see it, I’m reminded of Kia’s beginnings as a purveyor of shitboxes.
Do you think that part of this was down to the fact that it was an ERJ145? Would that weather vane effect be less of an issue on a larger jet?
I wasn’t a fan of the F1 render above, but I’m really diggin’ this Renault one. Too bad they probably won’t be around for the 2021 season...
I like me some weird spindly aero bits, so I’m not really a huge fan of this. I mean, it looks nice and all, but it doesn’t look like an F1 chassis to me. Granted, this is coming from someone who believes that F1 was at its zenith during the late V10 era. The 2003 - 05 cars were my favorite F1 cars of all time despite…
Yep... same here. Probably 50-60 flights per year for the last 5 years, and PDX is the only place I’ve ever run into that.
Oddly, I have gone through PreCheck security a few times at my “home” airport (PDX), and the TSA agent said that they didn’t need my ID. It’s never happened at any other airports, but it does happen occasionally. I have no idea how they’re supposed to confirm anyone’s identity with just a boarding pass, but whatever.
I don’t need to go into specifics about my career with an internet stranger, but face-to-face contact is still valuable in a lot of industries, and will make the difference between success and failure. There is still a ton of business in this world that gets done in person whether you understand it or not.
“There are alot of us out there that do real things that make the world work for the world’s paper pushers.”
In some cases, that may be true, but in my case it wouldn’t be. Not everything can be handled via video conference.
Not everyone who logs miles in an airplane is a billionaire jet-setter. A fair number of frequent fliers (myself included) are having their travel paid for by their employer. Increasing the cost of those flights isn’t going to reduce the amount that I travel, it’ll just increase the amount my company pays for that…
InsideEV’s is basically a big chumbox. I can’t imagine that anyone considers them to be a legitimate automotive news source.
Great... the rendering looks like another Tilkedrome. Little to no elevation change, tons of paved runoff, and absolutely zero personality.
I’d love to see the street car with a wheel/tire package with a similar diameter/aspect ratio to the C8.R. That would look so much better than the gigantic OEM wheels.
Doesn’t stress and/or spicy food tend to aggravate ulcers though? They may not be a cause, but they don’t seem to help, at least in my case.
I don’t live down there, but I spend a lot of time in OC. The buildings and the backgrounds had a Irvine/Costa Mesa/Santa Ana vibe... plus, every time I’m there, I see a lot of crazy expensive cars, so I kinda figured OC was a decent guess.
