I’m really glad that I’m not the only one who was thinking of this. In the shots with the wide Euro style plate, it doesn’t look awful, not good, but not awful. The US style plates are going to look like hot garbage.

They look a lot like parking distance sensors, but I like the “disappointment reservoirs” answer way better.

These photos answer one question that’s been burning in my mind since I saw the first photos of the concept - “where in the hell are they going to put the front license plate mount?”

Usually I’m a fan of all things GC8, but god damn is that 201 hideous.

This thing looks surprisingly good.

Did the dog also have one paw on the brake?

I wonder if you can hose out the interior like in a Honda Element? Might come in handy given his apparent... uh... sexual proclivities.

This makes perfect sense. My time in Europe has been limited primarily to northern Italy, and mostly in the winter/early spring, so not exactly prime camping (caravaning?) season.

As someone else pointed out, this really does look like a Chinese knock-off of a BMW.

I always assumed it was a midwestern thing. Upper midwest specifically, although based on all of the comments on this thread, it doesn’t really seem to have a specific geographical origin. I can say that I’ve never seen it out here on the left coast though.

Yeah, I never tried it with Kraft Singles, because... well, that’s gross. Kraft Singles aren’t cheese. A nice piece of aged cheddar though? It’s quite delicious. Sounds gross, but the sweet and savory flavors work well together.

Is it an east coast thing? I’ve always thought of it as a midwestern thing. A delicious, delicious midwestern thing.

I’m usually very boring when it comes to car colors - I happen to love white cars. However, I’ve always liked Lamborghinis in slightly more... uh, flamboyant colors. Purple with orange brake calipers? Yes. Please.

I’m just gonna go on record as saying that I actually believe this. Ford surprised the shit out of us with the GT, so why wouldn’t GM try to do something similar with the mid engine Corvette? The electrical issues are a smokescreen. I’d bet that the source who claimed that they were 99% positive that it wouldn’t be

It’s all fun and games until someone ends up with hantavirus.

I know that at 40, I’m probably too old to like the Type-R, but I don’t care. I fucking love it. And now that I’ve seen one with a correct (in my opinion) wheel/tire fitment, well, now I want one even more.

Same here in Portland. Granted, a lot of the ones I see are part of the Car 2 Go car share network, but there are plenty of non-Car 2 Go CLA’s around.

I’m with you on this. I don’t like the early Z cars at all. I think they look like ass. The Z32 on the other hand... I love me some Z32s.

CVTs are booty, but Honda got it right. A lot of CVTs like to remind you that they’re there, and that they’re weird. The one in the CR-V is so unobtrusive that you don’t even think about it.

Nobody is cross-shopping a CR-V with an STI. He’s talking about cars that are cross-shopped like the Crosstrek. We looked at a Crosstrek before getting our CR-V, but the Crosstrek is SLOW... almost dangerously slow. The CR-V is no rocket ship, but it’s much better than the Crosstrek.
