Damn... that light gray/greenish GT looks legit.
Jason Drives is one of my favorite things on Jalopnik (or YouTube... whatever). I’m glad it’s back for another season (season? series?). Torch, with your eccentricity, dry sense of humor, love for oddball cars, and hint of geekyness, you remind me a bit of a young, less British James May. Given that Captain Slow is my…
Never flown out of Sacramento, but I’ve flown out of Little Rock plenty of times, so if that’s an accurate comparison, I could see how one would like Sacramento. Smaller airports like Little Rock, Wichita, Tulsa, Austin (although Austin’s airport seems to get busier every time I go), Spokane, etc., are really nice…
That was oddly relaxing. It was kind of like watching How It’s Made, except without the corny-ass narration and shitty music.
Also possible that the fifth “car” was, in fact, a penny-farthing.
I see what appear to be Texas plates, but that sumbitch appears to be a long way from Texas.
Much like the FA20DIT, this engine is seriously lacking in the Boxer Rumble department. Need some unequal length headers on that thing brah.
This may result in a revocation of my Jalop Card, but I don’t hate this. This one has too much negative camber for my tastes, but otherwise I think it’s kind of cool.
I’ve never met a Corvette that I didn’t hate at least a little bit. I still kinda hate this one, but I do find it interesting. I didn’t even know that the FRC was a thing. Is it worth $25k? Not if it’s my money we’re talking about, but there’s probably someone out there who would gladly drop $25k on it.
In my humble opinion, the 5th gen was the best Accord of them all. I had a 95 Accord EX that I picked up used in 1998, and it was a great car. It handled fairly well, the 2.3l 4 cylinder engine (with VTEC, yo) was plenty powerful, and I thought it was a pretty good looking car as well, especially in white, which…
This was my thought exactly. I bet the real patent has something to do with the “shape morphing”. I could see a system like that having some kind of real world applications for altering the aerodynamic properties of the car for different speeds/driving conditions to optimize fuel efficiency (or EV range). The flying…
The man crush is strong with Daniel Ricciardo. Love that guy.
Maybe it’s unfair of me to paint all German cars with the same brush as my mid-aughts Audi, but every time I see a neat little contraption like this, all I can think of is how much it’s going to cost when it inevitably breaks in a couple of years.
I test drove one of those about two years ago, and while I was initially confused by the shifter, I caught on within about ten seconds of monkeying around with it. My wife on the other hand (who is NOT a car person) was completely confused by it, and it was a contributing factor to us not buying the Grand Cherokee.…
Revoke my Jalop card if you want, but first-gen Vipers are Crack Price at any price in my book. I’ve hated these things since the first time I saw one in the flesh at the Chicago Auto Show back in 1991 or so.
I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Probes of this era. Not sure why... maybe it’s just because I was a teen in the 90's and the Probe was kind of an attainable ”cool” car. Also, flip up headlights. Anyhow, nostalgia aside, this thing is fucking dumpster fire. I award this owner no points, and may God have mercy…
Sweet mercy... I’ve always loved modern Ferraris in white, but this thing is spectacular. Whoever that “enthusiastic British owner” is, he’s one lucky son of a bitch, and he’s got excellent taste.
I like it, but having owned an Audi of this vintage, I can’t vote NP on it. It’s probably a fair price, but all I can think of is how much more you’d have to throw at it to keep it running.
Quite lovely indeed... now, had you been able to find a photo of a scantily clad woman with Wall-E, that truly would have been a triumph :)
