I’m hoping they don’t axe Warrior. Its Bruce Lee’s legacy, they fought so hard for that third season.

Zaslav was instrumental in turning Discovery into a cheap, reality TV hellhole that abandoned any pretense of being about actual science or history. The only thing that mattered was ad revenue, and it was profitable as hell, so here he is. He’s quite clear in his earnings calls that he views spending lots of money on

It’s purely accounting. After a merger the purchasing company has a window of time (which expires mid-August in this case) to write off the current assets of the purchased company that it doesn’t want to retain. For unreleased stuff like Batgirl, WBD can right off every bit of money they’ve spent. Released films are

Heat does a great job of putting you squarely on the bad guys’ side because for 90% of the movie you never see them do any really bad guy stuff. They even plan to whack Waingrow for needlessly killing the armored car guards, and the way they talk to the people in the bank during the final heist is almost respectful.

Where on earth did a sword come from? My wife laughed out loud at that (and this was her first time watching the show, so that was fun).

The Americans used music better.

And here I’d heard a Lannister always pays his debts.

It’s funny how things have changed. Al used to beg and plead to allow parodies, but Lin-Manuel was honored that he wanted to do a “Hamilton polka”.

I was hoping one of them would be playing the long-alluded-to namesake of the show: Trudy Tective.

I like how all the 7th grade pictures look just like you’d expect them to.

How the fuck have you juiced two stories out of this one podcast interview, posted one week apart from each other?

Yeah it’s a robot they shoot out of a catapult.  It’s actually really cool when it works.   Disney would use humans but this is California, so they have actually employee protection laws.   If they were doing it in Florida they’d just be using Orlando teens
