T.I. won’t be in it after he and his wife had sexual assault allegations leveled against them.

Michael Davies! Oh no, now he will never have time for the Men In Blazers podcast!

I first noticed Julianne Nicholson in HBO’s The Outsider. Two moments on that show stand out to me: Jason Bateman’s monologue in the first episode about coaching Ben Mendelson’s son in Little League, and Julianne Nicholson absolutely losing her shit when the investigators give her their paranormal theory.  Holy crap,

Laserface, I love your posts. They take me back to my 80's comic fandom and also give such great backstory to our current comic book-rich entertainment culture.

Nice work by Claire McNear reporting for The Ringer. She’s been writing excellent behind-the-scenes articles about Jeopardy! for years there now.

One in five patients never smoked, it’s that high? That’s scary.

I believe that Bill was going through a divorce during the filming of Groundhog Day, and he was a moody dick on set.  I don’t believe that Murray and Ramis ever worked together after that movie.  It’s such a classic movie, it’s hard to see any of their tension onscreen.

Not only does West Covina exist, the I-10 freeway there used to be known as the biggest speed trap area in all of Los Angeles.  Over 20,000 citations would issued annually on that stretch, about double the 2nd place location.

1. I ask friends who live or have lived in the vacation area for their recommendations.

I applaud any advances that will improve on today’s paper straws.  They are incredibly unsatisfying, soggy crap.

I had a girlfriend that was involved in the show-jumping world in New Jersey about a dozen years ago, when Jessica Springsteen was getting her start.  Jessica and her parents were very nice, down-to-earth people.  Which was a breath of fresh air in the equestrian world, which has a lot of rich, entitled lunatics.

From what I’ve read about Saturday Night Live (including the excellent Live From New York book by Miller and Shales), the performers are usually left in a grey area for months where they don’t know if they are staying or going. Same goes with new talent, where they’ll have a talk with Lorne and still have no idea

Hahaha, my favorite moment in the movie!

Ooo.  Alien is pretty good, I love the variety.  I also like the shakes at the nearby Mad Greek.

I can usually resist the beef jerky places.  But I’m kind of a cashew fiend, so if any place advertises some seasoned cashews, I will usually pull in.

Japanese cold soba noodles.  Mmmm.

At first I thought “face-controlled” meant being in a masquerade mask, like Eyes Wide Shut.

No mention of Jessica Henwick playing Colleen Wing on the Netflix Marvel shows?  I didn’t bother watching Iron Fist, so I first noticed her on The Defenders.

Death’s Head!  I haven’t thought of him in years.  I collected that short-lived first series of comics.  He was the height of comedy my sophomore year of high school.

Well, I watched the advanced screening. It was more fun than I thought it would be, if you can get into the farcical, silly vibe of this movie.
