A buddy of mine is the co-owner and manager at a fancy new dessert place. The founder had mandated a particular paper straw, because of it’s whimsical color. The first time I had a milkshake, I thought the straw was supposed to be edible because it started breaking apart almost immediately.

Octopussy wasn’t bad, it was pretty great. It was the next Bond movie, A View To A Kill, that was garbage.

The way Elizabeth kept checking the mirrors in the car, I just knew that she was going to pull a gun and blow Jackson away.  I was so surprised and relieved when she let him go.

I’ve never heard of Kasey Musgraves before this show, and I came away impressed.  Her first song, I thought she was channeling Crystal Gayle.

That Mailbot scene made me so happy. I always feel like Mailbot scenes are pointed directly at us, the AV Club Commentariat, by the show’s writers that love us.

Very nice interview.  Kudos.

First CYOA book: #5 The Mystery of Chimney Rock (my older sister had #1 The Cave Of Time, so of course I had to have one of my own).

But but but...Lynda Carter!

Don’t worry about it, I just finished this episode last night.

So glad the AV Club commentariat is still strong for this show! I was dreading the response to these reviews since the Kinjapocalypse. You folks have always filled in the color to the palette of this show, pointing out details that I had missed. I hope the crew from the show will also still pop on by.

I agree.  I’ve been raving to people about this show since the 2nd half of the first season.  But then when they find out that the previous seasons are on Amazon, it’s all just Sad Trombone music.

Dina Meyer! Wow, they were really going to mine all the talent from Starship Troopers. Casper Van Dien should have had a role as a sheriff.

Never forget Denise Richards in Undercover Brother, a film that deserves to be played on constant rotation on basic cable, but for some reason is not. Black Man’s Kryptonite indeed.

I watched that movie both in the theaters and at my cousin’s super home setup. The sounds of the gunship battles in that film are terrifying. I was flinching just watching.

“I said ‘Biiiitcchhh!’”. From their pilot episode. I was hooked.

My buddy in college went through a bad breakup and played the Gin Blossoms “New Miserable Experience” on repeat constantly. Lots of “Hey Jealousy”, “Found Out About You”, and “Until I Fall Away”. Of course, the girl’s name was Allison, so there was lots of “Allison Road” too.

Die Rock Hard.

I don’t mind a trip to Panda Express from time to time. But what I really miss from them is the char-sui pork that they used to serve, a couple of chunks that they would cut for you when you ordered. It was the closest thing on the menu to the Chinese BBQ, Sam Woo-type joints that I grew up on.

This list is a farce without one of Will Harris’ Random Roles interviews.  Does the AV Club no longer understand the best parts of their own website?

Yeah, it looked like the Top Chef judges had no idea how to interact with him, and were just trying to ignore his douchebagery.
