I can’t believe I laughed every time that stupid smoke detector beeped in that song.

I know Pete Carroll isn’t a spring chicken. But that screenshot makes him look like doddering and ancient. It’s the very antithesis of the youthful ball of energy that is Pete Carroll.

I first remember seeing him as Mozart’s father in Amadeus. One of those actors who could express so much with just a look. Rest in peace.

I *think* I saw the Star Wars Christmas Special (I was a month away from turning 6 myself), but I may be conflating memories of it with the Ewok Adventure TV-movie that aired when I was 12. I remember being very frustrated and bored with the Christmas Special because I wanted more X-Wings and lightsabers, not knowing

I have to disagree with you on Game of Thrones. I’ve never binge-watched the show, so I can see how the repetition can make it annoying. But I’d argue that the theme and the credits set the exact tone you want for that show. It’s big, sweeping, epic television. I get unreasonably excited when I see a new tinker-toy

Not to mention in the first few episodes, there was background music to some of the walk-and-talks. Very distracting to go back and watch.

I would second your thumbs up on Crack Shack. I’ve been to their Encinitas location a few times now. Their fried chicken is very good (I compare it to how KFC used to taste back in the ‘70s, with a bit less salt). Their candied bacon deviled eggs are AMAZING.

A review by Noel Murray! O Sweet AV Club of yore...

That paragraph of legalise is comedy gold.

I caught “13 Going On 30" a few weeks ago on cable. Garner has always had an easy charisma that’s so likeable on screen. I don’t even fast-forward past her Capital One commercials.

Reading this article made me nostalgic for the days when Noel Murray and Donna Bowman were regulars around here. Was this just in 2012? It feels much longer ago.

Is this feature coming out later in the day now, in Kinja Land? It used to be right there when I opened up the website on Monday mornings, but now I feel I have to hunt for it.

I think it was Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”, for me. I mean, “Billie Jean” had the supercool sidewalks that lit up. But I was a little boy that loved the whole gang fight rumble stuff. Plus the driving guitar.

Oh man, this is the food I grew up on. Ginger and green onion is my favorite sauce in the world. When I visit my parents, my mom will make a mason jar full of it for me, and I’ll consume it in a week. Now I’ll have to go to my local Sam Woo to get a fix of white cut chicken or soy sauce chicken.

I love the taste of cider, and we have some great locally produced ciders where I live. But within a few hours of drinking it, I get a hangover. I’m guessing it’s the high sugar content. I don’t have this type of reaction with any other sort of alcohol.

What TV show was Tim Matheson on? I know The Quest is mentioned, but IMDB shows that as a TV movie. Maybe Tucker’s Witch that ran from ‘82-’83?

I definitely remember Scott Baio being a minor deity on the show. The guy was good at a lot of events, and incredible through that obstacle course.

Got invited by a friend to see this on a preview night for one of those radio station website giveaways. The plot is borderline incoherent. The lesbian sex scene was pretty awkward because my friend is a total prude. The film does wake up during its centerpiece action sequence which is legitimately terrific. That

I've been doing the Costco Kirkland sparkling waters for a couple of years, they do a good job of giving me that fizzy kick.
