Wasn't that the second half of the second season of Orange Is The New Black?

We'll always have the Wild Animal Park, where they also import the heat from Africa.

I still love the drum opening to "Some Like It Hot".

I was really on the brink of giving up on this show for the second or third time before this episode. I thought "one more bad episode, and I'm removing it from my DVR schedule".

I remember being a little disappointed when I saw Scrooged when it came out; the concept of Bill Murray as Scrooge had me thinking it would be a Hall of Fame comedy movie. But when Carol Kane came on, the movie just popped. The sight of this little pixie being so violently deranged was hysterical. I agree, Carol

This feels like a Grantland article. Do we now have to discuss who "won" the week?

There have been other great interviews that weren't done by Will. Sean O'Neal's RR with Terri Garr was the gold standard of this feature before Will arrived. It's just that Will Harris is to Random Roles what Pixar is to animated movies. I know other studios can make an entertaining animated film, but I get extra

It had a great Burt Bacharach soundtrack. I still love Ani DiFranco's version of "Wishin' and Hoping".

I have a buddy who was a Navy brat in Japan. Mr Baseball holds a special place in his heart for him. The chanting in the stands, eating ramen at a baseball game, all those things in that movie bring back fond childhood memories for him.

Yeah, I didn't know about his basketball background either. Maybe because of the Detroit Tiger cap he always wore in Magnum, I associated him more with baseball. I also remember one year during the baseball All-Star game, he was in some celebrity game and actually hit a home run (I think it was at Camden Yards).

I actually only paid attention to Las Vegas when James Caan was on the screen, because he did have a bit of menace in his role. I really felt he would break someone's fingers at any point.

I remember it being a good watchable show, but anytime they dipped into the guys' past in Vietnam, it seemed to elevate from good to great.

I have a soft spot in my heart for those Three Musketeer movies. I distinctly remember my dad motioning me over to the couch with a "hey, watch this" when it was on TV. There was swordfighting, great stuntwork, lots of physical humor, peak Faye Dunaway and Raquel Welch. Then my dad blew my mind by off-handedly

Intersteller's ending felt like a contrived M. Night Shyamalan-twist to me. I love many of Nolan's other movies, and the visuals of Intersteller's were spectacular, but that ending was a disappointment.

Star Trek: The Motionless Picture

I thought I heard the use of the word "unsub" on the first few seasons of Criminal Minds.

How did that stupid model fetch more than four times more than Leia's bikini?!? Nerds these days just aren't as horny as they used to be.

I'll give a thumbs up for Pocket Casts as well. I've been using the Android version for a couple of years now, after trying out Podcast Addict, BeyondPod and a couple of others. I'm generally super-cheap about buying apps, always looking for a free version of anything, but the $1.99 I spent for Pocket Casts has paid

That transition from Phil Hartman / Mike Myers / Jan Hooks to Sandler / Farley / Spade was really rough to take. The show went from smart, funny sketches to nonsense-stupidity really quickly. I think the only harder transition was the original cast to the Doumanian years.

It makes me feel sad and old that you were in 5th grade during the 2003-2004 season. I started sneaking peeks of SNL in 3rd grade, trying to avoid bedtime to watch the show. But I believe that was the '78-79 season.
