Not "TUSK"?

Franka Potente was an amazing villain for Season 2, among other improvements. Season 2 was much better than season 1 in my opinion, I was disappointed when FX decided not to renew.

"Agreed amount, or no deal." Mike's delivery is just as matter-of-fact as not letting you pass the toll booth unless you have enough stickers.

"…and just the other week I dropped a car on a guy."

That podcast has become essential listening for me since I discovered it a couple of months ago. Imagine my delight when I heard Allison Wright's Welsh accent! I had no idea.

That reminds me of the old Mr. Bill skits on Saturday Night Live. "Oh no!"

My ZIP disks will last forever!

On an episode where a guy gets set on fire, Gaad is the worst person in the world.

That was some great stuntwork. That guy was ON FIRE, slowly dropping to his knees. Holy shit.

That text game was one of the hardest computer games I ever played. I think I barely got the Babel fish before I had to break down and buy the cheat book.

Sounds like we need to share an Americans TV party, because I did the same thing.

Just finished listening to Slate's Americans podcast with Noah Emmerich as guest. They said that they originally were just going to film the action sequence to a regular score. And Emmerich actually directed the scene with the Rolling Stones song "Slave" in mind. I love how well "The Chain" ended up working.

I think Netflix may have had The Americans streaming at one point (I had to catch up on missed episodes of Season 1 through their DVDs), but I believe Amazon has exclusive streaming rights to The Americans now.

Great link, thank you. I love that they called Rhys' wig the "Sid / Joey" look. And that a crew member told Rhys that he looked like a chick, then Rhys went home without taking off the disguise because he loved it so much.

Archmage, you continue to amaze me. I would think you would know great pizza places in the Krynn world of Dragonlance, but your knowledge of Northeastern China pizza joints bowled me over.

I was half-expecting her to try and flush the pieces down the toilet, and having them jam and cause a backup. Or maybe I was projecting my own nightmare experiences with dealing with backed-up toilets.

Her and Adele sniffing each other totally cracked me up. It's like they were two friendly pups meeting for the first time.

"Too intense!"

Oh man, so many good choices to choose from. Just looking at a list of songs from 1982, Rick Springfield's "Don't Talk To Strangers" might work for the show, or Quarterflash "Harden My Heart". It seemed like the Go-Go's were so damn ubiquitous that year, maybe "Our Lips Are Sealed". Maybe Kim Wilde's "Kids in

Ooo, how about a light-hearted romantic sequence for "Hold Me"? The building drum sequence in "Big Love" would work really really well.
