Matt Weiner did say in his interview on Fresh Air that he has AMC contractually obligated not to interrupt his end credits for 30 seconds.  He feels that they carefully choose the song at the end and pay for the rights to broadcast it, so the network should give at least some amount of time for the viewers to enjoy it.

I think showing the hotel ad in the "Previously On Mad Men" certainly foreshadowed Don doing the faceplant in the pool.  But I don't think that suicide is the goal.  To me, the ad has been a theme for the whole season, that Don feels a need to disappear and escape from his domestic life, his work life, and the world

After being rebuffed by first Ted, then Don, I thought Pete was wandering into Creative to browbeat some lowly just to make himself feel better.  And he does kind of aggressively commandeer poor Stan's joint.  But I wonder if he wandered over there because Creative is one of those cool departments at work where you

I was wondering if Weiner threw that line in as a nudge at the Internet speculation on Bob's sexuality.

Not to mention Vasco da Gama was Portuguese, so Roger was either being drunk or stupid.

I would love to see Stephanie Romanov show up and play a Lilah Morgan character.  You're right, Harry Hamlin really turned on the douche nozzle this episode.  Peggy's introductory description of Jim Cutler as "Roger with bad breath" didn't reveal just what a hidden bastard he is.  Cutler is as work-averse as Sterling,

Sal could be a very relevant character, especially with the Stonewall riots a year away.  It wasn't as if he was one-note, he had depth.

It sounded like a motivational record on becoming a better salesman.

Syphilis actually jumped on you in California in the late '60s.

Peggy and Joan had that nice moment a few episodes ago where Peggy told Joan how nice it would be to work with her again.  I think tonight's episode was the flip side to that, an acknowledgement that there had been friction between the two before and that those feelings hadn't been resolved or forgotten.

I think it's actually Siegel, not Segal, as in cousin to Jane Sterling (née Siegel).

- I did not expect to hear a kitsch song like "Harper Valley P.T.A." at the groovy party.  Although it did bring back pleasant memories of Barbara Eden in the TV show.

I can't remember Roger needling someone endlessly like he did with Danny.  I don't remember him being so hostile towards Danny when he first appeared, and I can't see the hostility being some misdirect of anger towards ex-wife Jane.

"Go With The Flow" was my gateway into QOTSA.  I was amazed by the synergy of rocking, crunchy guitar and pop in that song.

I always wanted blue eyes from the spice.

Now, that weirdo Glen kid, I can see him growing up in a whorehouse.

I can't believe Betty allowed Don to spend the night and wake up alone at the camp.  For a second I thought Henry would walk in on a naked Don and there would be fisticuffs.

HOT BETTY, BAM-A-LAM!
SHE'S REDUCED THAT BETTY, BAM-A-LAM!

The return of Duck!  Everytime I see him, I think of him and Peggy and his "se-Duck-tion".

Was that a bayonet that Peggy used to stab Abe?  I thought it was some sort of harpoon or something.  And WTF was Peggy be doing with a bayonet?  I can understand grabbing a baseball bat or a golf club for home defense, but the Upper West Side must have been some kind of Lord of the Flies neighborhood if you're
