I'm guessing that MaNoire is the former?

Agreed. I'm on the Gail bandwagon, while a buddy of mine likes Padma, so we get into this argument quite a lot. I think we both pant over the food more than either of them, though.
God, my dad's favorite music station was KBIG in L.A., back in the late '70s and early '80s, because it was basically Muzak. I heard so many instrumental versions of songs in car rides. It was either that or a shitty country station that seemed to just play either Glen Campbell or The Oak Ridge Boys.
I love lamb chops. It's like having an ice cream cone of meat.
Sandy Koufax.
Can we start a thread where the topic is "Great Movies That Now Have Distractingly Bad, Dated Soundtracks"?
I really think we need a Part 2 with Teri Garr. Who wouldn't want a sequel. Will Harris, non-stop pop yourself and get on that!

@avclub-fd618c6be7327c1e01499f3f758fc26c:disqus There is a 30-sec Toyota commercial thrown in near the beginning. But honestly LCK condenses what everyone likes about Top Chef (good, fair challenges, Collechio) into one 10-minute amuse-buche.
I agree, I don't need drama or a villain to enjoy Top Chef. I want to see chefs make good food under some constraints that still allow them to shine. My favorite seasons have generally been drama/villain free, the Vegas season (Voltaggio Bros, Kevin "Yukon Cornelius", Jen Carroll) and the Chicago season (Stephanie…
My reaction to that guitar was "Oh no, another superstar is going to have their hair set on fire at a Pepsi event."
Man, TNT had been running the most pretentious, overly dramatic ads for this show, that make me hate it with a passion before a single episode has aired. How am I supposed to enjoy my three-hour block of Supernatural in the mornings when I'm being bombarded with that crap?
Love seeing the love that "Warning Sign" is getting in this thread. My favorite song of theirs, and I always wondered why it wasn't released as a single.
My buddy got Cabin in the Woods through Netflix and invited me over for a viewing. By about a third of the way through the film, we were laughing our asses off. Just a fun, smart movie. My buddy's wife can't handle horror in any context, so it's rare treat for him to be able to catch these kinds of movies.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this film. The Re-Animator and the original Fright Night gave me a love for horror comedy. I'd throw in Gremlins and Evil Dead 2 as well.
More annoying Robotech character: Minmei, with her terrible, alien-mesmerizing songs, or Annie from New Generation, who's only purpose was to get in the way and scream?
I have to put on my nerd hat and inform you that it's in Guardian mode.

You're probably right, that was probably "GO BRONCOS!" guy.
