I was thinking that as well (the uneven teams), but I'm guessing that next week's episode has already been filmed, while all this tweeting and voting is ongoing.

I'm also wondering how the show is going to integrate that fan-tweet "save a chef" gimmick. I'm guessing that Fumiko is winning week after week, since she appears in those ads going up against the knocked off chef from the previous week. Since the current episodes have already been shot, I'd have to expect that the…
I agree. I would be shocked if both Kristen and Brooke missed the final. I think it's a two-woman race from here on out. Not only does their food taste good, their level of sophistication in their cooking is just a cut above the other competitors.
The Brooke immunity status is a good question. I got the impression that there wouldn't be a Quickfire in the next episode that might establish immunity, since they were going right into the restaurant planning.
I never get the idea of matzo either. It's like some kind of prison gruel.
I want to see some sisig on Sheldon's menu next week. I'd go nuts if he served balut. :)
As much as I roll my eyes with all the product endorsement in Top Chef, I did enjoy seeing Canada Dry up there in the Quickfire. One of my favorite ginger ales, along with Vernor's and the too-hard-to-find Blenheim (sorry, Schweppe's sucks). With the ginger theme, being Cantonese Chinese, I was disappointed that no…
This is the first time in my memory that Restaurant Wars has been uneven. It's always been run when there's eight chefs left, four vs four.
I dunno, I think she kind of enjoys Stefan's flirty attention. I loved Stefan's comment to her this week, "Don't talk to any other men but me." He's such a funny rakehell.
Owning the first 150 books is amazing. I think I had most of the first thirty, with gaps in the 20-30 range as I started to taper off. I remember being excited when a new book was written by Edward Packard, while the other authors were more hit-or-miss. THE CURSE OF BATTERSLEA HALL may have been the last one I…
Was that THE RACE FOREVER?
This American Life had a great show where one of the segments had a kid who loved Piers Anthony books and actually figured out where Piers Anthony lived from reading his novels, and then decided to go try and move in with him.
Chimney Rock was excellent, I think I'd have to put it 2nd on my list. I hated that fucking cat.
Yes, that was "Inside UFO 54-40". I hated that ending so much as a kid, I thought it was totally against the rules of CYOA. I found pictures of the pages on this site, scroll down to the very bottom:
"If I just took and ran away with the main ingredient of a challenge, I would have won." Yeah, that's pretty stupid logic John. Colicchio pretty much said the same thing in his Bravo blog post.
I'm glad that with Last Chance Kitchen, Bravo is giving us quality web content, rather than just deleted-scenes / extras bullshit. What's unfortunate is that both last season and now in this season, LCK's quality has been invariably better than the airing show. I wouldn't mind if they edited down the show by ten…
What's with the knife guy judge in the Quickfire? The guy stood in a stance like he was going into a gunfight. I generally like the knife skill challenges, and I was okay with this one. My only disappointment is that you wouldn't use a chef knife for some of the tasks they were asked to do. Wrong tool for the job.
I enjoyed The Wind Through the Keyhole as well, and I have to thank the original AV Club review of it for turning me on to its existence. I had just stumbled upon the Dark Tower short story "The Little Sisters of Eluria" in the Legends anthology a couple months before, and was glad to hear of new Roland tales to…

I can't hear that "Some Nights" song without hearing Simon and Garfunkel's "Cecilia". The "woah-woahs" in the chorus are just too similar.
