Brooks talks about the writing process for Blazing Saddles in the current Nerdist podcast. According to Brooks, Pryor just wanted to write lines for Mongo.

This article makes me want to watch this movie. Many of the scenarios sound kind of hilarious. It's like someone telling me how terrible some new junk food is, then describing in detail how it's delicious and packed with flavor and will eventually kill me.

When Glenn first got the zombie on the ground, I thought Glenn was going to kick his head like a football on a tee, to try and get at the brain.  The HULK-SMASH chair-breaking routine was pretty good though.

I've kind of glanced past the video game threads in last week's episode and here, because I don't want to spoil it for myself if I play the game.  But is this the same game as the Facebook one that is advertised during the show, or a different Walking Dead game?

I can't say I've been too emotionally invested in the baby-related scenes from this season.  I haven't shared in the positive praise that has been given to Lori's death scene or Rick's crazy spell.  But tonight's moment with Carol's reunion with Rick, the wordless joy turning into realization turning into sadness,

Not to mention that Talking Dead is LESS interesting than talking with your friends, because the guests and Hardwick just praise the show and aren't going to offer any criticisms. It's been tolerable lately because the episodes have been terrific. But when the show was going through a stretch of terrible episodes in

I'm so glad I caught the repeat at midnight. They didn't show Hardwick's promo on that viewing.

Remind me what the opening sequence for Almost Famous?  Was that the kid flipping through the different vinyl albums?

I think TKAM gets the rare double of 1) perfect gem of a novel along with 2) perfect gem of a movie.  I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.
