I’m curious - how many extra F35s does killing the A10 buy? I’d love to see the math.

Interesting story but don’t really see it happening. This ‘export’ version of the Su 34/Su 32 would be in danger of lagging badly behind other players in the region if the avionics suite and weapons choices are crippled.

If I were involved in Israeli procurement I’d be looking at augmented F15 capabilities as well, even if as a stopgap measure. These F35 plans are quite far off and the playing field in the region looks like it could get rough sooner rather than later, what with the Saudis and Qataris procuring Typhoons, the Kuwaitis
