Can only speak for me, but... I enjoyed it. I didn’t “hype” (I’ve grown out of that, I find that I enjoy games a lot more if I’m not expecting The Greatest Game EVAR!”), bought it at launch, and played it for 170 hours. And then I moved on to one of the many other big releases that came out at the same time. (just

Stove Top Steam Deck instead of potatoes.

I thought it was a perfectly “okay” game. Not as good as their previous stuff. But, then, I gave up on “hype” years ago, so I don’t expect ZOMG BEST GAME EVAR! from the games I buy. It certainly wasn’t some super revolutionary thing. It’s just a game. And that’s fine. /shrug

I played Starfield, and enjoyed it, but. . .   it’s just “okay”.  A bit less than previous Beth single player games.  Certainly nothing to nominate for some mostly-meaningless “GOTY” award.  /meh

Yep, that’s why I picked Destroy when I played ME3 - because it was the least evil of three lousy choices.

“Infini-Brain”, eh? Somehow, I’m not feeling it.

Ehhhhhhhh, visual mods in single player games aren’t remotely “cheating”.

. . .First Amendment . . .

Seems to me like it’s probably just a standard, common laying-down-the-bike crash, not an Akira slide. /shrug

Yep. Meanwhile, my older sister just wanted to collect them because she liked them, so I ended up eating a bunch of happy meals to help her. :D

“Save that, it’ll be valuable some day!”

Yeah, I really don’t get the people who’ve already burned through NG+10, just to get all the powers leveled up. Just like I never got the people who said “I have to level up to <whatever> before doing any quests in Oblivion, so that all the unique quest rewards are max power.” Just seems so tedious & pointless.

Those aren’t “upscaled”, they’re changed/generated. They’re new faces. (and they’re almost uniformly terrible. I mean, holy crap, those three samples in the middle of the article are awful.)

I’ve played two characters in D4 so far, one at launch and one in Season 1. I think the highest level one is 74. Just not terribly interesting to keep farming xp - I stopped playing when I maxed out the battlepass (with most of the “free” Ash rewards level locked away).

Eh. Maybe Station to Station & Lamplighter’s League? But not right away, still have Starfield and Cyberpunk to get through.

“I don’t remember either of these events...”

The only time I can think of when game prices went down was on Playstation 1. Game prices dropped to 50 with ps1, more or less uniformly on playstation.

Cartridge games had all sorts of issues that contributed to higher costs, depending on what chips were in each particular cartridge.

Yep. Kind of surprised that the top level of commerce doesn’t have the good old “invest in vendors so they have more money” bit that’s in Fallout & Skyrim.  As it is, I’ve skipped that skill entirely because I already have to buy out lots of ammo just to be able to sell the guns I loot.

Of course, they’re only worth it if you consume a lot of what they provide. I see closer to 3-5 movies a year, so the Movie Club subs are silly. For me. Ditto with Game Pass - I’m not constantly wanting to download new games to try. I tend to play one game for a long time, and also go back to older games to replay
