The plot for the next episode is too predictable.
1. Police haul Nikki in
2. Incompetent police in charge goes with varga's story
3. Nikki tells Gloria about shady connections.
4. Gloria protests, but the asshole jails Nikki and threatens to fire Gloria, so Gloria takes it into her own hands.

This is literally the first episode of this entire season that I didn't hate.
