No... this is an example of them NOT getting it right.

I don’t hate a lot of the retro designs, but I also don’t love them either. But, the Ford GT looks amazing.

New Ford Bronco. Looks modern yet with enough retro cues to look timeless and tie back into the old Broncos.
They also look better in person than in photos to me too. I really think Ford nailed it visually.

So tax pretty much every new vehicle being produced... and your mom?

But look at this angle, ewww I wouldn’t be caught dead in that

Yeah, I can remember when the RX was the entry-level “affordable” SUV/CUV in the Lexus lineup.

I for one welcome our new small truck overlords.

Good. You should also need a special license to drive super huge/heavy vehicles. There is no world in which someone who just mastered parallel parking their parents’ Honda Civic should be able to go drive a supercar OR a 27" box truck.

This makes plenty of good sense. Now extend it to include additional licencing and training for larger and more powerful trucks. And probably other types of vehicles that are so dynamically different from what people learned on that it makes little sense to assume they’re competent simply because they got a basic

WTAF?!?!

Per Electrek:

After having Malibu rentals over the years, the most recent model was so bad that I can’t imagine anyone buying one outside of rental companies. The seventh generation (third modern generation) was actually a decent car but it was one of the few cars to get worse instead of better in subsequent generations. I find the

Yeah that was my first thought, as that definitely looks like a typical rental. “Hey lets take this rental out to the salt flats and see how fast it will go!”

Pay nine bucks a day, and you can do whatever the hell you want with a rental car.’

Seems to me that this would sell ridiculously well in the States and Toyota is crazy not to see that.

My main concern with Subaru EV-ing a Crosstrek is that they’d end up with a $65K vehicle that competes with a Model Y, but with slightly less range. Tesla does have really efficient electric motors, and has been able to cut costs quite well.

Elon is more than mean, he’s a lunatic.

Am I the only one that thinks of this as Goliath beating David?

I always thought Subaru was the prime candidate for electrification from a marketing perspective. Their powertrains have never really been all that competitive in their volume sellers and more recently started to lag behind the competition when it comes to a power/efficiency/reliability standpoint; so why cling to

The fact that he can still run for president shows just how worthless our system is.
