This absolutely makes no sense. Land Cruisers were close to $100k when last sold here. They were very popular with wealthy people who wanted “understated luxury”. Those aren’t the kind of people who dig retro styling. I live in a pretty gentrified area and the super-boring Jeep Wagoneers are everywhere.

Hell yeah, I can’t wait to not be able to afford it.

When they say retro, they just mean not a bland bar of soap with wheels like everything else on the road. It’ll actually have a passing chance of individuality and character.

I’m not optimistic on this. Toyota doesn’t “get” nostalgia and what we like about the 40 and 70 series, it’s just not part of the culture. Ever better, moving forward, continuous improvement...Its baked into the culture to look forward not backwards. I don’t have a lot of confidence that they will be able to deliver…

Glad these victims will get some justice. The best part will be making Congressman Jim Jordan sit for a deposition. He was a wrestling coach at Ohio State and reportedly participated in the cover up as well as pressured victims to recant their statements. I guess he just loves protecting sexual predators.

Absofuckinglutely. The right’s constant need to drain off the meager funds we give to education makes me angry with rage.

Charter school = religious school =racist school = sexist school. These charter schools were just created to erode public education and to groom innocent children with religious indoctrination straight out of the Dark Ages. All at public expense.

Wait. So the mass shooters wouldn’t have killed 14 girls if they’d been wearing skirts? I need to see evidence from all mass shootings since 1999 because I know at least one teacher was wearing a dress when she was killed. I also need to see the scientific data behind this claim.
