I drove one of these back to back with an RS and just let me say this, I would never buy the the RS over the R. I’ve never been a fan of the Golf and I’ve never even driven a GTI. But this thing was miles better.. no thousands of dollars better than the RS in every way. The RS feels like a sub-$20k car with fancy awd…

I test drove an RS a couple days ago and was very put off by the interior. For 40k it should be nicer, at least closer to the mustang’s.
