Counterpoint: replay is good, and has not “poisoned” American sports. Because getting the right call on a key play is worth a minute or two of our lives.

I’ve lived in over 20 states and 5 foreign countries.

How is this not considered a runner giving himself up? He didn’t dive to avoid a tackler, he dove in order to simulate being tackled, and afterwards he laid there Long enough to take a look back at the referees.

Reading the rule, I think maybe he should have been ruled as down. He hits the floor, waits a good couple seconds, then gets up. Isn’t that not attempting to advance?

No a runner, in this case a receiver, definitely can give themselves up and be ruled down without contact. I seem to remember a critical Victor Cruz near fumble from about five years ago where it was ruled he had given himself up. I’m not sure why that shouldn’t apply here, unless the defenders are supposed to read

This also seems like the opposite of rewarding yourself? Like, saving money and eating healthy or exercising or whatever are both things that require willpower. They are both worthy goals, but generally the whole idea is to reward yourself for avoiding one kind of indulgence by indulging in another way. If you are

This borders very closely with debugging. Most of the time you’re googling the error you’re receiving and hoping you’re not the first, no? I’m guessing this is sorta what you meant?

That’s incredibly refreshing. You made my day. I’m so tired of people literally laughing at my absurdly-low-but-all-the-industry-will-support rates. I always tell those people to go transcribe five minutes of their audio and then get back to me. Surprisingly, some people can be taught, but there’s a lot of derision

Little known secret. The bank has more than the one key they gave you. I had a box ages ago and wanted to add my sister to it so we went to the bank to get her a key. They had two spares and gave her one.

Oh fuck off. You get in someone else’s supercar, you hit the gas, the tires aren’t “performing at the level they should be”? If you decide to double the speed limit on a public street in a vehicle that you are not personally 100% certain of, it’s on you, bro.

Players in their first or second NHL years were automatically protected, though. So one top 4 rookie or sophomore defenseman and they were looking at picking from the third line or bottom pairing. And there aren’t that many teams that have enough depth that those players are more than middling... and in most cases

I agree with all your points, especially the scanner. I’ve transitioned almost all my scanning to the Google Drive app on my phone. Unless I need to scan more than 10 pages, or have to get a very clear copy, it works very well. As I’m on the road a lot, I have to upload receipts on a weekly basis, and having a PDF

It’s funny in an odd way how people almost brag about their ineptitude or ignorance with math. Like, you never hear, “I’m just not good at reading.” If someone is illiterate, they’ll likely try to hide it out of shame. (This is where I wanted to say “like our president”, but he has no shame) In what other subject do

*cough* first downs and touchdowns *cough*

Okay guys, serious question time: How is the Overwatch League expected to make money?

Hasn’t nearly every GPS/navigation app had this option for at least the last 10 years?

It’s not a closed system.

According to a Twitter bot called Scorigami that “[t]rack[s] the chances that NFL games finish with a score that’s never happened before”, this is the first game that’s ended in a 41-39 score.

For some reason? To get people to read comics seems like a pretty good reason.

The “some reason” is the 100% profit margin.
