Seconded. I’m completely burned out and have been for going on six months. I dread the thought of going into work despite the job being good on paper. To the point as I get closer to my building the speed of my walk slows down because I don’t want to get to my office.
A huge issue with burnout is that even if you could take a sick day, it likely wouldn’t do anything. There’s no cure except leaving that job. Not even a vacation helps. Maybe for a week or two, but after that, the burnout comes back. It is perpetual hell, as not everyone can just leave a job.
Roe v. Wade will be overturned. The only question is whether it will happen before election day in 2020 or after it (in a purely political move).
That’s literally how campaigning worked 70 years ago because there were no other options outside of radio. AOC isn’t nationally popular because people discovered her at some fucking train stop. You get all of your political news at some local function? No, you get it online, you entitled twerp.
She 2 million more votes than ya boi, yet she didn’t get any votes. LOL liar
yeah trusting adults to make informed decisions about things like “voting for a man that admits to groping women to impress Billy Bush” is STUPID. you shouldn’t nominate one of the most qualified people to ever run for President because she’s SHRILL and MEAN and REMINDS ME OF MY MOM.
People didn’t vote for her? So THAT’S why she got creamed in the popular vote. People voted for her in far greater numbers than her opponent you drooling fucking moron.
Look, I know you’re just being a shithead troll who is trying to divert from the real issue, which is that a lot of douchebags didn’t vote for her because of emails, or NoT vIsItInG mY pOdUnK tOwN eNoUgH!!
What do you care more about, her ability to inspire, or her actual experience and what she brings to the table?
But remember everyone, Hillary wasn’t inspiring enough. That is more important.
Here’s another devil we’ve been dealing with: liberal men who have been mansplaining to me for years that we will never see a federal abortion ban (including today). The ones who tell me to put my “identity politics” aside and that “women’s issues” are too delicate and lose elections. Fuck you all who don’t take this…
To the folks (or really, the one guy we all knew would be in here screaming about it the moment he got an opportunity) saying, “Don’t blame us for Clinton’s loss. Some voters have morals!”
...I hope your morality helps you sleep at night, knowing that the SCOTUS—as now composed (thanks to two—and possibly…
This argument is blunted by the fact that she was genuinely more popular than Trump to the tune of almost 3 million votes, and the fact that her loss was basically predicated on 70K votes in 3 states.
Me: Man, those Republicans are crazy and evil!
Nobody’s claiming that anybody is “owed” a vote. Instead, the point is that how you choose to cast your vote (or not cast it) is your responsibility. And with responsibility comes the reality of accepting the consequences of your own choices. And understanding that you bear some of the blame for the outcome.
NOTES FROM THE GRAYS:
TLDR; You know it’s Reagan’s fault. He’s the one who let the godhumpers into the halls of power back in the early 80s. They’ve been running roughshod over women’s rights ever since.
