Right, but that’s B2. Which means they’d charge me $0.005 GB/mth * 4000 GB = $20/mth for cold storage, rather than $5/mth. No longer worth it at that point.

Well I was using CrashPlan, but now that their Home plan is gone, I actually don’t have a new host yet. I have 4TB of media that I need to backup, and pretty much all of the popular storage hosts either don’t cover that much or charge and arm and a leg to do so.
Cream/butter can help temper an oversalted pasta. It depends what else in the dish might be working against you. The only pasta I could never finish for being too salty was a traditional pasta carbonara I made that used pancetta and Pecorino Romano. I couldn’t save that one--it was just too goddamn salty.
The title lists the price as $18, but the price after coupon is $24.

Notepad++ can still work as a drop-in replacement for regular Notepad for quick edits or README viewing, whereas the other ones feel a bit too focused on the Code Editor angle to work well for that.
Does anything change if I want to make it with Green Tea instead? I used to enjoy Steaz’s half-green tea lemonade, but now it’s difficult to find, expensive, and seems to have switched away from cane sugar to stevia, so, no more.
Nintendo Japan’s pronunciation of “NES” shouldn’t be considered authoritative because nobody calls it that in Japan. They call it the “Famicom.” The Nintendo Entertainment System was its overseas name for the slightly modified console, so what we’re seeing in the museum is their Japanese rendering of what is…
Couldn’t you just change the password on your WiFi network? Or, if you have access to your router’s admin page, simply blacklist the device?
Couldn’t hurt to add printers to the list, lest yours become part of a botnet.

I’ve also gotta wonder what the effect will be on your smartphone’s battery if it’s in permanent wi-fi hotspot mode for your entire house.
Actually still rockin’ the PS3 version—I was trying to fire it up again after the PS4 one came out because they supposedly support cross-play. But I’ll give the equivalent page a shot anyway, thanks!
The annoying thing about disabling UPnP is that a good number of console games rely on it but don’t document what ports they need if you want to try to manually do Port Forwarding yourself.

How do you tell when it’s worth quitting your company’s 401k to try your hand at finding an outside firm? Let’s assume that your employer is matching your contribution at 6%, but the investment firm itself has been producing abysmal return on your contribution (e.g. < 2 %).
...which they would be doing anyway, if you used your Smart TV to watch Roku, Youtube, Amazon Video, etc. There is no way you can use any of Roku’s services without Roku tracking everything you do under it. I’m simply arguing for segmentation—that what you watch using a Roku should only be visible to Roku and not to…
I can understand “just as bad”, but you’ll need to substantiate how a STB can be worse.

I remember watching some chef (maybe it was Gordon Ramsey?) mention that leek leaves can be used as the outer wrapper for a nice bouquet garni. Simply lay your herbs down, roll the leek until tight, wrap with a piece of cooking string, and drop into the soup.
