The thing I found so scary about the Cybermen is that they seem so... inexorable. Daleks are always stopping to argue with each other, but the Cybermen just. Keep. Coming. See also Earthshock.

“Netflix has just added Season 12 of Supernatural” says my email!

This show comes on, and the episode feels like sort of a timeless blip where you get immersed in another world, and then SUDDENLY YOU HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEK. It is exquisite torture.

And I thought I crushed hard on her for Bleak House, where she was so marvelous! This is incredible!

“On a positive note, he didn’t die.”

I agree. I now find her a fully rounded and yet still unlikable character.

I am deeply terrified that they will change the ending of the most spectacular reveal in a mystery story ever.

Phyllis Schlafly: “The feminist movement taught women to see themselves as victims of an oppressive patriarchy.... Self-imposed victimhood is not a recipe for happiness.”

I own every single issue of Astro City. The name sits in my pull box even through its hiatus periods, and luckily my local comics shop lives on and is always ready to alert me when another ish drops.

Last year one of the Rifftrax simulcast shorts was all about the lifecycle of paper. I missed at least half of it due to convulsions of laughter, so I hope there won’t be a quiz.
