Oh I love when people do that.
"You can't make crispy bacon bowls in the goddamn microwave. That is not how microwaves or bacon work."
Ugh a call like that would be nightmarish. Mine just wrote letters... similarly cringey, but at least I didn't have to respond and they couldn't hear me laugh-raging.
You have a great mind for justice, sir
That is the worst cat. It can't even hunt birds properly like normal cats.
Ugh, yes.
So true. And you would be TOTALLY within your rights to get shitcanned and then beat the shit out of HIM, because, again, you would NEVER do such things sober!
Clearly it means that we should just get blind drunk before committing any crime
He said, too, that Batey's "intentions were not what they would have been had he not been intoxicated."
I didn't say that she shouldn't be held responsible. I just don't think her idiocy and callousness are equivalent to the premeditated scam perpetrated against both her AND this dog. I am alarmed by how hateful some of the comments have gotten, and directed entirely toward her.
Also, can we aim our vitriol at the guy who scammed her, took her money, and sped off? And possibly stole the dog?
Many prominent PoC figures in the movement also supported the hashtag, because they have been asking white people for years to acknowledge the role their own privilege plays.
It's still a question of intended audience. Who were those #cww tweets meant for? Most people on Twitter don't see themselves as part of a national/public forum, but a much smaller social network of people they know. For white people, it's often more white people.
I was being sincere. But thanks for the cookie.
Agreed. Thank you for listening to my experiences and acknowledging that they are different from your own.
Again, you are ignoring the issue of AUDIENCE. I've talked about this elsewhere:
I think the issue here (and reflected in the debate over this post) is one of intended audience.
This was beautifully put, thank you.
Cousin Steve? Is that you?
