I’m thrilled for Sabine and Chris, but this whole thing has me really worried. Top Gear was more of an entertainment-focused show than it was a hardcore automotive enthusiast show. From top to bottom, the show was produced for TV viewership with all of its yuk-yuk-jokes, one-liners, and characterizations of the hosts.

More power isn’t necessarily what’s needed. What is needed is more mechanical grip and less reliance on aero grip.How many times have we seen a car close the distance to a car in front only to get into that “aerowash” zone where all the car does is loose front grip due to lack of down force on the front wing and slide

The TAG (Techniques d’Avant Garde) side of Heuer back in the 80s produced turbocharged units during the old F1 turbo era. TAG didn’t buy Heuer until around ‘85, so before that TAG was buidling Porsche turbo engines in F1.
