There isn’t a brand that I hate, but I’m leery of Nissan after the issues I had with a ‘92 Maxima SE I owned a couple of decades ago. That experience is a big part of why I have never and likely will never own a Z32. Such a cool looking car that hits me right in the nostalgia, and it had the best television commercial

This myth that PHEV owners dont plug in their cars is a pile of baloney perpetuated by the fanatical EV lobby. I’ve owned a Chevy Volt for 5+ years and all I have to do is plug it into my garage 120v overnight to be fully charged in the morning. By doing so I have driven over 80,000 EV Kms and saved myself a boatload

The issue is not that there was only 8 minutes of action. The issue is not about it being delayed. The issue was that they delayed the race knowing full well safety crew were contracted only up to a certain time, and yet didn’t inform anyone that this would be the case. Instead they had us sitting outside since 8:38PM

The manhole is welded to the steel inner ring. That ring is embedded in the concrete collar that attaches to the shaft. If I read it correctly, I think the welds held but the concrete collar failed.

I think it was the littlemansyndrome tag

I don’t like Mullin but it really seems like O’Brien has #LittleManSyndrome as well.

That’s my hood right there! Its great when I drive home and suddenly I realize its Cruisin’ night and there are a ton of cool cars parked all up and down Van Nuys and cruising the boulevard.

I cannot conceive of owning one of these without having a big shaggy dog in the sidecar.

It’s actually pronounced “Mar-KWAY-nay, thank you very much.

Even if you get a seat, how much can you really see? That’s why the oval is the superior format for racing. Who wants to fight me?

Some excellent cuisine too, they should market it as such. “Visit Hungary for the F-1 race and you won’t leave hungry!”

Weird, he looks so honest.

I stay on the Strip relatively frequently for work, and you are 110% correct on this one. I barely want to be on those bridges on an average weekend; it’d be absolutely terrifying if you had a few hundred people just standing there trying to watch the race, or trying to sleep there saving a spot.

Forgiven Loan = Bribe

The Tesla Semi lead image is misleading, I immediately started researching Freightliner Cascadia prices. FWIW a day cab comparable to a Tesla semi runs about $150,000 new.

Hot damn, that’s an interesting photo! We should see photos like this more often! Looks like the 917 is longer... but the point is well-taken regardless. I always wondered what the 914 could have done with a bit more output from the 6-cylinder version. A couple hundred HP in a 914 would have been pretty entertaining.

The cars design only a couple years apart,

You should see how many truckers have health problems that oughta disqualify them from driving too. You know what would help in this situation?

Injected Big Block Chevy is much more likely than a DFV
