Callahan brake pads may have prevented this.

I have a Lincoln and a Ford. Every time they are in for service, either the service advisor asks when we drop it off, or we get a call from sales about an hour after dropping it off. Been the same for 3 different dealers.

Took my Model 3 in after Christmas for some warranty stuff. It was the first time the service advisor had done something that’s standard for my other cars when they go to the dealer for service. She asked if I’d be willing to trade it in. I was offered a pretty steep discount on a new car. They had cars ready to

Growing up there, I didn’t notice it.

As a football fan, scenes like this illustrate why the US Men’s National Team will never will a World Cup.

Which one? I’ve only been to the Texas City one. There appears to be some variance in the magnitude of the experience.

Looks like Tesla has been ramping up SC capacity in anticipation of opening up the network. I would imaging that these plans are being fast tracked as it is a potential new revenue stream for the company.

Star for the Buc-ee’s reference.  I happen to be wearing one of their t-shirts right now!

Trying to figure out if this is a carpentry or surfing reference.

The best part of ROB was the top spinner. The tops also added a bit of urgency.  Trying to get through a Gyromite level without losing a top was a trick.  Pretty soon, I just used the things you dropped to tops on as foot pedals.

If they were old freon units, now they’ll actually pay you for them...

I’m thinking the cameras are seeing something they don’t like, as it only happens when going northbound.

Best experience that I have had at a dealer was when I was purchasing an Employee Plan Nissan. Walk in. Choose Car. Hand over voucher. Pay. Leave.

I was looking forward to these 48 guys doing some cleanup...

I’m a test engineer.  I find this stuff engaging.

I don’t think any Model 3s had radar.  Mine’s a 2018.

The adaptive cruise (not autopilot) on my Model 3 gets freaked out by all kinds of weird stuff. There is one spot on a section of AZ95 north of Parker, AZ that freaks it out every time causing it to slam on the brakes. Happens day or night. Now I just take it out of cruise in that spot then re-engage after I pass it.

They’ve built a little “city” at their proving grounds in Wittmann, AZ. Also, their security is on you within minutes of you pulling over on one of the roads outside the perimeter.

When I was in FSAE (no I am not going to talk about WWU’s 500cc V8) I got to go to GM Powertrain in Pontiac to have them machine a restrictor for us. While I was waiting I spotted a couple SBCs sitting in a hallway. These had dual cams in the block with a cam phasing arrangement between the two cams. This was in 2000.

Anyone else getting “my local police dept is going to buy an armored one of these” vibes from this thing?  I mean it looks like an EV version of the Bearcat.
