Star for the Buc-ee’s reference.  I happen to be wearing one of their t-shirts right now!

Trying to figure out if this is a carpentry or surfing reference.

The best part of ROB was the top spinner. The tops also added a bit of urgency.  Trying to get through a Gyromite level without losing a top was a trick.  Pretty soon, I just used the things you dropped to tops on as foot pedals.

If they were old freon units, now they’ll actually pay you for them...

I’m thinking the cameras are seeing something they don’t like, as it only happens when going northbound.

Best experience that I have had at a dealer was when I was purchasing an Employee Plan Nissan. Walk in. Choose Car. Hand over voucher. Pay. Leave.

I was looking forward to these 48 guys doing some cleanup...

I’m a test engineer.  I find this stuff engaging.

I don’t think any Model 3s had radar.  Mine’s a 2018.

The adaptive cruise (not autopilot) on my Model 3 gets freaked out by all kinds of weird stuff. There is one spot on a section of AZ95 north of Parker, AZ that freaks it out every time causing it to slam on the brakes. Happens day or night. Now I just take it out of cruise in that spot then re-engage after I pass it.

They’ve built a little “city” at their proving grounds in Wittmann, AZ. Also, their security is on you within minutes of you pulling over on one of the roads outside the perimeter.

When I was in FSAE (no I am not going to talk about WWU’s 500cc V8) I got to go to GM Powertrain in Pontiac to have them machine a restrictor for us. While I was waiting I spotted a couple SBCs sitting in a hallway. These had dual cams in the block with a cam phasing arrangement between the two cams. This was in 2000.

Anyone else getting “my local police dept is going to buy an armored one of these” vibes from this thing?  I mean it looks like an EV version of the Bearcat.

But, but ,but... DrAg ShOWs ArE dAnGeRoUs!

Nationalization? I don’t like it but, if it is important enough to the economy for Congress to vote to tell you that “you have to go to work or we will throw you in jail”, then it is basically just the military with worse benefits.

My understanding is that it basically turns your Autopilot features off for a period of time if you get too many strikes.

Decided to get a Tesla Model 3. Timed it perfectly and bought about 2 weeks before Russia invaded Ukraine. I wanted it strictly for my 80 mile commute each day.

I used to be able to walk to Disneyland. My friends and I would show up with $25 and that’d get us in and buy lunch. If we were cheap, we’d pack our own lunch and leave it in lockers for that purpose outside the gate.

My NES console came with Gyromite and Duck Hunt. The Gyromite robot was fascinating and frustrating all at the same time.

Why not just ask EV owners to chip in? Charge them extra on their registration or something.  They’re more likely to be accepting of something like this.
