Saw my kid’s jr. high science teacher flipping burgers at In-n-Out. He came to AZ because they will pay off your loans if you commit to teaching for a period of time. He makes more at In-n-Out. Just biding his time until his loans are paid off and then moving to greener pastures for a teacher (outside AZ).

417 feet is not a big boat for a shipyard.

Right.  but the specific concern here was the height of the retractable masts, not the draft or beam.  It would seem the yacht could simply move past the bridge to another shipyard to have the masts installed.

Not knowing how important the bridge is to the locals (though it sounds pretty important), I am sure there are a number of corollaries here in the US. For example, what if he wanted to dismantle and then reassemble the Edmund Pettus bridge to allow his boat to pass?

Until it is truly a pain to operate a car, no one will view mass transit as a first choice.

he was just the easiest to identify out of the 300 people.”

Kids.

I envy you.

As I get older, I have started to farm out some of the stuff. Most recently a full brake rebuild on my 1999 K2500. I’ve done it before and it is something that now I am not willing to burn a weekend on and be all wiped out on Sunday night. Much rather build a VW engine instead. LOL.

I’m not much of a “send it to someone else to sort it” kind of person (unless it’s metalwork). More of a “dig into it and ask questions” from people in the know. I understand fuel injection as I have been working with it as a job for 20 -odd years.  That and time-pressure for a road trip has me looking to pull the

I’ll second this. Diagnosing the 800cfm Quadrajet on my Cadillac has been educational and also has me scraping together the cash to get a Holly Sniper EFI.

Here in AZ a piece of legislation was just introduced to make firearms and ammunition purchases free of sales tax.

I have found that a significant portion of gun owners that I know do not advertise that they are gun owners.

Here here.

Yup, and still they only sell a comparative handful a year.  These types of purchases, like cars, are rarely rational decisions.

They’re gonna sell the bejeezus out of the Low Rider ST.

Was hoping they were going to make the Apple Pie McFlurry a thing, thus saving me some cash.

In AZ it is easier. I’ve seen firearms purchased at garage sales. I thought I was witnessing something illicit until I was informed that its perfectly legal here.

So his tag is clearly visible and there WASN’T a police tank ready to bust down his door?!  They actually waited for him to turn himself in?!  Huh...

They’ve got a couple Portillo’s in Phoenix as well. Pretty good.
